| [Reboot] Ranking Cygnus Classes in terms of Leveling Posted: 13 Feb 2020 06:26 PM PST I got a fury totem from the daily gift and decided to make an Aran to use it and got to level 150 cause it was the last exp link skill i needed. I already have a 200 NW, but I just found out Cygnus class link skill gives Attack/M. Attack. So with the 4 remaining cygnus classes, what are the rankings in terms of leveling it up to 150? (I'm just planning to stop there, no need for 200) Whenever I get the next fury totem from the daily gift I'll just level it up for the link skill and legion so I don't get burned out. | Another case of BS Auto-Banning System Posted: 13 Feb 2020 11:14 AM PST I understand that recently you may have seen many posts related to being banned and stuff. This is an another one, just a little different. Last week, on 7th of February, I believe I got falsely permanently banned while playing on Europe Reboot on my Wild Hunter, I had just finished hunting Yellow Goblins at Goblin House, unsure of the channel. After hitting lvl 140 I proceeded to jump to the top right platform avoiding monsters to equip Pensalir equipment and allocate my hyper skill point. While doing so, I got disconnected followed with a ban notice mentioning that I no longer could access this account. However, I was one of the very first victims who were PERMANENTLY banned this patch and as a normal fella I resorted to the support page! BUT here's the punchline though, it took them 6 WHOLE days to respond which is insane considering that I expected new information regarding this topic but no, GM literally said the same information provided on my ban notice; that I had been detected with "suspicious behavior"(?) and said that I may not access the account anymore. I believe at the time I had poor internet connection due to unnecessary information (Cousins staying at my place) but it was nothing unusual as I had always had issues with my ping (70-100 in EU servers) spiking sometimes and never have gotten a warning in the first place. I tried live support but it was no different, literally a different GM with the same mindset. "Oh, your account has been confirmed(?) by our in-game security engine with detection of suspicious behavior regarding your account, therefore, your account is no longer accessible" or so he said. Regarding my losses though, they're considerably huge for Reboot, I repeat, Reboot. Which may range from: Legion, links, multiple magnificent boss souls, 2-3 weekly bosses mules that could do up to CRA/Lomien and ofcourse, the MANY rare chairs/mounts/damage skins(I'm serious though.) excluding the cash items/maple points that were there at the time and my precious main. I may never get back to that point again. I'm sure Wild Hunter was infamous for being banned at Utah Farm but this is insane. I'm quite sure I had done nothing wrong. TL DR; Played WH, lvled up to 140 and while I was equipping pensalir gear, disconnection happened followed with a PERMANENT ban notice (without previous warnings from beforehand), tried to make use of the support page, no progress then I tried the live chat few minutes ago, literally the same copypasta from my ticket in a different order of words. Am I expected to get my account back at some point or just start a new account with a Kanna? I can't just leave my guild members like that. [link] [comments] | ||

Looooong time player here since year 1, returning after almost a 10 year break and having a blast reliving my childhood on reboot! I will say it's crazy how different the game is now, not sure how much I like how quickly you level and it seems like almost no one talks, communicates, trains or PQs anymore which i though was the best part of this game. Two of my other friends in grew up playing with have also returned to play with me so we have 3 of us looking to do LPQ runs and other fun PQs like the old days!! | "Not responding" Screen until i Restart PC Posted: 13 Feb 2020 06:30 PM PST Hello, i've been having this "not responding" screen when i click "Play", every time for at least 2 years, never been able to fix it other than having to restart the computer every time i want to play. Literally have tried more than 30 different solutions over the years, have searched for a really long time but never was able to fix it. Simply restarting the computer fixes it, but it's so annoying having to do it every time i want to play, i'm getting tired of doing it, having to open all my browser tabs again, and so on.Does anyone know of a fix that works and doesn't involve restarting my pc? | Can we ban Autoban/Ban posts from the sub? Posted: 13 Feb 2020 04:10 PM PST Hello everyone. I thought I'd just share my two cents on this issue. I've been reading this sub for the past few years and there is a consistent trend here. Every single ban wave without fail the subreddit gets a steady stream of posts and sob stories. The most recent ban wave that happened last week is the most current example of it. All these posts accomplish is scaring players into not doing events. Reading a bunch of people claiming wondroid got them banned when these players are just hackers salty about getting banned infuriates me. You have all these innocent players who stop playing and doing events as a result. I don't want to witch hunt so I'll try to be vague as possible. But there was one post earlier this week of a player giving a long sob story about how they are innocent and got falsely banned. The post got alot of traction and a few hours later the community revealed that this guy is a known hacker and account purchaser. That player spent all day spreading news about false bans lying to the entire subreddit hoping to appeal to our emotions just so he had a chance at getting unbanned even though he got caught red handed. The result of the post though? More community fear. Players taking breaks because they think Nexon is banning Innocents. Its very rare that I've ever seen people get falsely auto-banned without being unbanned soon after. And even then it's rare to see people get auto-banned unjustifiably in the first place. (Most common reason people get falsely banned is because of false positives with other programs. For example other games with anti cheat or programs like Autohotkey running in the background) But let's assume people do get auto-banned falsely in high numbers. What are we going to do about it? Give them our up votes and prayers? Sure you can argue that it spreads awareness. But awareness of what? All these threads are speculation. Its why Nexon bans in waves. The whole purpose is to prevent hackers from finding out what hack got them banned. These posts do more harm than good, spreading misinformation and fear into the player base. I'd argue we'd be better off making a community list of safe programs that are compatible with Maplestory. Or have posts showing reproducible ban evidence. Its clear people just blame whatever buggy content is out at the time and decide Nexon is incompetent even though they are banning cheaters. Granted I do agree Nexon could be more transparent with the player base, but at the same time they do have more information about these players than we do. Stop blindly believing everyone who claims they got banned for a normal gameplay activity, they are lying. Thanks for your time. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 13 Feb 2020 03:29 PM PST So I've recently been playing Battlemage for fun as it's a class I hadn't really play much. I'm very very surprised by it! In fact, I'm quite shocked more people don't main it! BaM's kit reminds me a lot of Hero but better. You have an attack that rapidly hits at close range, tons of mobility with teleport, I 10 second I-Frame that effects the entire party, tons of Aura's for different play-styles (utility vs. damage). And this is all within the first 4 job advancements. In addition, they have really high attack speed, %damage, %crit damage and crit rate. This allows you to focus your cubing, inner ability, and legion on other sources of damage. I guess I can't fully see why more people play hero over BaM? Because BaM is virtually a well rounded version of hero. I haven't gotten to their 5th job yet, but even at 4th job (Level 135) I can already tell that BaM has more to offer than my level 218 hero. Does anyone know why BaM doesn't get more attention? Is there something I'm missing? [link] [comments] | ||
