    Save money, you might only need 100% item drop rate on equipment

    Hi,

    I was doing some research and I found some interesting information on strategywiki/maplestory:

    Everyone always says that Item drop rate % cap is 300% from item potentials, and then some other sources where applied over this cap(buffs, 2x card from cash shop, wealth potion).

    On February, 2019, the wiki was edited and a new cap of 200% was added to item potentials, I can't information about changes made to item drop rate cap anywhere on the internet that can justify this change, only this edit made in the wiki.

    In the wiki, it also shows that familiars are also included in the same 200% cap.

    The only sources that can go above this cap are the followings:

    • Wealth Acquisition Potion: +20%
    • Inner Ability: +3%~+20%
    • Union Luck buff: +50% for 10/20/30 minutes
    • Monster Farm Seruf: +2%
    • Monster Farm "Erdas" category: +1%~+7% based on highest rank active, only works in Arcane River
    • Holy Symbol Hyper: +30% only when you are near the user (cannot stack with Decent Holy Symbol)
    • Decent Holy Symbol: +14%~+24% (cannot stack with Holy Symbol)
    • Various skills

    If this information is correct, that means going to Item drop rate of 180%/200%+ is a complete waste of time and money, because you are hard capping at 200% and familiars can provide +100% item drop rate at extremely low cost, meaning you only need +100% drop from equipment + a familiar to hard cap.

    I tried to find information and discussion about this topic but all links I stumbled upon had the same old information about 300% and they all refer to Nexon Korea response regarding the drop rate nerf back in 2017(source above), as source.

    If you have more information that can cast a light in this topic, please share it with the community.

    Please correct me if I understood something wrong from the wiki, English is not my first language.

    Crashing to desktop every 10 minutes now

    Not reboot. I don't know what the problem is with Nexon but this is ridiculous.

    No point buying legion buffs, no point going to mvp, no point doing literally anything except gamble on this game because everything gets removed if you disconnect.

    Used to only ctd once a day and I'm at 5 since reset.
    I don't know how reboot players have been handling this since Christmas and before. This is just unacceptable.

    Nexon/CM, fix the buffs from expiring on disconnect if you can't keep your game online.

    Like this wouldn't be HALF as bad if we weren't PUNISHED because YOU can't keep the game up.

    How to get a nearly infinite supply of wealth potions

    Hey guys - if you haven't already heard, some people figured out a way to get a nearly infinite supply of wealth potions. Here's how:

    - Complete the Mushroom shine story quest (takes a few hours)

    - Get any of the NPC to 50+ closeness. This can be done by gifting them once a day (which gives 3) and talking to them once an hour (which gives 0-3 depending on how you respond). Also, you can get 15 more closeness per day by doing the tengu boss 5 times.

    - The tengu boss is much easier if you go in a party with familiars because the familiars will kill the boss even though you aren't supposed to be able to damage him directly.

    - Now, you open the chat with the NPC and repeatedly exit it until you get an option that asks you to gather herbs. This can be done 5 times a day and has a 30 minutes cooldown. Each time you get herb sacks that you can use to get the crafting material for wealth acquisition potion.

    Preparing mules for 210

    [Reboot] with the current tera burning, I'm looking to level some mules to 210 for the links. I usually levelled to 140 and stopped there so the 180~210 is mule grind is a fairly new area to me. So I was hoping to get some advice on how to gear it up to make 210 somewhat bearable. cause Im at 196 atm and its kinda cancer trying to 5hit enemies.

    • I have about 4k legion, which blocks should I be investing in? the extra exp blocks at 4k legion provide me with like 4% extra exp. is it worth? or should I invest in other things?
    • I've been hoarding some 2x exp, mvp atk/matk coupons and guild buffs along with some gold mpe pots. is there anything else I can use to make grind better?

    the biggest question I have is the gearing part. I'm currently using the event cra and filling the rest with pens and frozen equips. with all at epic 6% main stat. I still have areas like belt, earring (doing HT for this) and the 4 rings slot empty. What are some decent equips I can fill these slots with? I wasn't sure if doing long questlines like tengu or magnus just for a 210 mule was worth it. and will 6% epic main stat across all items be enough? or will I be needing to invest more?

    (Side question, mule is a BT, is cat mode leeching still a thing? if not, I heard FES2 was better till 205 for BTs specifically. is this the case? if not, any BT players know where they trained at VJ and reverse?)

    [Question] I'm a reboot zero player here, and I know that the CVell lucky hat is considered the BiS for Zero. I recently got the CQueen Hat and saw that it's a lucky item too, with only a 50 less defense than CVellum Hat. Are there more differences than besides that, because guides/ppl say that CVellum hat is BiS, or is the CQueen Hat just less defense effectively?

    How to turn equips into cosmetic items on reboot?

    Some guy on youtube said you could turn ordinary equipment into cosmetic items on reboot. How do i do that? i want to turn my pathfinder starting gear into cosmetics so i can keep the look.
