    Anyone remember that time about a year ago that kishin bugged and left a map perma-kished? The entire game had kishin, every channel and every world, and it was the smoothest the servers had ever been because nobody had their 2nd kannas and pc logged in for like 2-3 weeks.

    Hey guys, hope everyone is keeping safe during this time. I am a returning player after not playing for ~6 years. I came back in late March on a new account and tried both Reboot & a normal server (Aurora). Here are my initial thoughts after playing both for 30 days:

    • Reboot obviously offers a more streamlined progression system. In fact, Reboot plays more like a mobile game than an actual MMO. You can get a nice chuck of meso everyday with minimal efforts (Ursas daily during 2x and Maple Tour). However, without carries, I felt that it was inevitable that I would progress at a much slower pace, because I'd need to properly cube most of my gears in one tier (i.e. pensalir) before I can contribute to bossing in the next tier (i.e. CRA). Lastly, do note that Reboot has not shut-off all progression-related micro-transactions. I can easily outpace someone if I do 7x Maple Tour everyday by paying nx, and not to mention the mandatory pet purchase for looting meso.
    • Normal servers give people the impression that it is P2W - I somewhat agree with that. But it's still reasonably feasible to progress without spending any money at all. I can simply farm Zakum & Horntail on all of my alts with clean pensalir gears (takes ~10min per alt) and sell all of the decently-flamed items for meso. In one week, I have made over 300M meso, and that has allowed me to buy the 4 set CRA directly from the AH. The downside for normal servers is the accessibility of cubes, I've had the terrible experience of not tiering up from Epic potental after 12 event black cubes - that really gives you the urge to immediately buy a huge stack of cubes from the cash shop. So I wouldn't recommend normal servers if you are not mature enough with your money.

    Overall, I am going to continue in Aurora, the nature of its progression felt more like an MMO to me. But I can definitely see the appeal for Reboot, it gives you a peace of mind, and you basically just do your dailies and grind to progress.

    Arcana Meso Farming

    When do you usually start picking up mesos when you're farming? I've heard different methods such as rotate after every 3 yaksha boss. Someone also told me to rotate at the start of your domain and the last 5-10 seconds of your domain if you have your node maxed out. I'm confused on what the most efficient way is.

    These changes suck, but they'd hit way less hard if Nexon released a memo saying that they are completely removing Kishin from the game, but will slowly taper it off. It'd be a gut punch for sure, but it's so much better than shadow dropping another memo that states we are losing more QOL aspects of the game.

    I truly believe that Nexon as a company is doing what they can with the resources that they have, and I can be rational and understanding if they would at LEAST be willing to meet us halfway. I'm so confused regarding their lack of transparency and unwillingness to communicate with us.

    \rant. Ily guys I hope we all still enjoy our mushroom game.

    gollux random oneshot?

    hi guys, please help me understand this new gollux...

    doing hardlux with a friend and whenever he reverses us in 2nd phase, we instantly get 1 shot like 1 or 2 seconds after by seemingly nothing :/

    ive read and seen the guides and videos about the revamped gollux, saying that u can stand on the left side/near the portal etc. to avoid the reverse, but we still get reversed; this part does not even bother me.

    i just want to understand what oneshots us while reversed...

    RE: Falsely banned Beast Tamer

    Hello to those that read this post. I thought it would be worthwhile to ask for help from the community again. This ban was back in late August of 2019. This post is a repeat to see if it can gather any attention this time. Last time the #4 Kaiser had posted above me and garnered much more attention.

    My IGN in the game is Iythronel (iythronel), and I was a new Beast Tamer main after switching from other mage classes. I used to be in the guild Defy in Bera. I used to be an active Jr in that guild but left after personal issues. Plus I used to actively sell frenzy service (after winning a totem early on, the winning post is still somewhere in my archive) but stopped as I went more inactive and became busy irl. I already had 10,000 hours logged onto Steam, of course a lot of it from afking in nice chairs (https://imgur.com/a/eJUl3Vw) and had even more hours logged from using the Nexon Launcher to play the game. I was in the 22X levels before I became banned for "[Our] in-game security system has detected suspicious behavior on the account specifically for mob movement manipulation."

    I have found in my own personal experience, before I got perm banned, that it occurs the most when the servers lag; ie when the mobs freeze and you cannot kill them anymore, use or cancel any skills, and using 5th job skills with Beast Tamer. Namely the Cub Calvary skill. With that 10 second 5th job summmon there is no way to stop or prevent the mobs from moving during the servers lagging or anyway to prevent it from the players position. I'm not sure what any other players can do about this aside from being forced to play a certain way as to play without using certain skills, mostly the 5th job ones, to prevent this. I hope that this warning may potentially help some players (I know there are few Beast Tamer mains out there) before they come into the same position that I am in now. I hope in a way this is able to bring this up to Nexon's attentions and that someone will take a closer look at this in order to prevent this for other players.

This ban happened to me after my main PC, built by me burned out and I switched to a fresh laptop with nothing installed onto except for League and Maplestory. I have sent in tickets about this of course but all of them were closed without any of them being looked into and all cited the same reason that it was too serious.

    Do I have any options or steps to take next? I am willing to talk about my experience. Please PM or comment if there's any more information needed from me or any more steps for me to take.

    I heard that both Kanna and BT are probably going to get a nerf. got some storm potions from the pixel event that i'd like to use, just not sure which one to level up. Both are currently 150. Also after the kanna nerf, is it still the best meso farming character?

    How to unstuck yourself from Gollux soft lock

    Use the guild skill "On My Way" or "I Summon Thee" to unstuck yourself. ("Rise , Minions!" will also work but it get put on cooldown and uses your IGP)
    You can use it while alive if you are soft locked, but you probably will die before you can cast the guild skill in time.
    The problem is you will get soft lock again if you use the yellow portal again, so make sure you have the 5th job skill "rope lift" ready.

    Of course the best way to not get affected by the bug is to never let the golem touch the center of the map even even if it cost you your life.
    Reverse control time bomb has a 15 second cool down, hands attack in the same spot has a 5 second cool down (separate cool down for each spot). You must master these cool down mechanic to stop the golem from touching the center and not get killed by gollux itself.

    Need help with Nightwalker Sticky Key

    Hi, I'm trying to main Nightwalker and I just can't understand the whole idea of sticky keys in general. All I'm understanding is I'm suppose to be able to hold both buttons of jump and quintuple without having to repeatedly press them. I've also read that certain keyboards like Ducky One actually helps do that better which I do own. Also, is there a way I can still even utilize the sticky key using space bar because that's my normal jump button. All I see in videos are alt or shifts. Anyway, any guidance or steps to utilize sticky key would be much appreciated.

    I have used over 25 black cubes on my unique synergy ring and it didn't tier up I have 3 other legendry items and they all tiered up from unique to legendry with about 8-12 black cubes

    What was the reasoning behind putting untradable level 30 gear in the pixel shop when it takes level 60 to even access the shop?

    Was looking at the pearl maple set and noticed it was level 30. Is there some reason to buying the set I'm missing? Because i can't see any reason you would ever in a million years buy it unless you're looking for a level 30 high damage set for some odd reason.

    What is the rarest item in Maplestory?

    I know a lot of MMORPGs have super old items which can't be obtained any more i.e. WoW has some really old items that can sell for lots of real world money because of how rare they are. Are there any items that are really old and rare in Maple? What are your thoughts?

    Hi, I would really appreciate any advice from people who have played these classes through to 200/210. Have 1 tera & 1 mega burn.

    DA, Hayato, NW, Bucaneer, Xenon

    I'm considering beneficial links/legion (DB main), terrible mobbing pre-5th job and useful 5th job skills (rewarded 90 core & 5 exp core gemstones for teraburn @ 210).

    Originally leaning towards DA tera, Hayato mega, but deciding if NW tera, DA mega would be better due to NW's supposed terrible mobbing.

    MapleStory Not Working loop

    I been stuck in a maplestory not loading loop for 1 hour. basically what happens is When i launch maplestory on steam or nexon , the maplestory tab just stays white and when i click on the white tab it says not responding and i tried reinstalled like 10 times already and i tried to fixing it by looking it up on youtube and all the videos did not fix it. anyone had this problem can they please tell me how to fix it.
