    My friend was flipping out in voice chat when he failed over 100 potential stamps in a row. Maybe half of them were golden potential stamps. Then he went on video and did many more stamps. Here's 30 silver stamps in a row:

    He has already filed a ticket with Nexon. Even if all potential stamps were silver, failing 100 in a row would be a chance of about 0.000000000000000000000000000078886091%. He also used over 40 golden stamps outside of what I posted, and he kept going until he bankrupted himself and I stopped laughing. Makes me think though... if the random number generator can actually fail like this, what would it be like if it failed like this but for SFing Arcane Umbras in Reboot?

    And you thought you failing your 10->11 star 10 times in a row was bad. :P

    A Recap of the Sengoku Storyline in Preparation for the Sengoku Returns: Asura War Update

    Hello everyone! :)

    The Sengoku Returns: Asura War Update is the first update in about 6 years that focuses on the Sengoku storyline. The last update that focused on the Sengoku storyline was the Mark of Honor: Hieizan Temple update that was released in August of 2014. This update released the Hieizan Temple dungeon along with the Princess No boss.

    After the Hieizan Temple update in 2014, there were a couple of instances where the Sengoku storyline was brought up briefly. The first instance includes the 2016 Stellar Detectives update, which featured Kanna and Hayato alongside Jett and Chase the Beast Tamer. The second instance includes the Monad update of 2018 which very subtly connects Monad's storyline with the Sengoku storyline. The third instance is the Black Mage update of 2018, where the Sengoku forces joined in the fight against the Black Mage along with the Cygnus Knights, Resistance, and the Nova. Apart from these instances, there was no in-depth continuation of the Sengoku storyline after the Heizan Temple update until now!

    This post contains a recap of the Sengoku storyline so far! Japan MapleStory has already received this update in their servers a couple of months ago, and this post will not contain any spoilers about the continued Sengoku storyline in the Asura War update. I hope you enjoy the read! :)

    Before having any connection with Maple World, the Sengoku storyline takes place in an alternate dimension in the game, which is Japan.

    The one transcendent-like figure in Japan is named Abeno Seimei. Abeno Seimei predicted that one day Japan would be in danger due to a figure appearing that would claim the power of the Demon King, the 6th Sky Demon King in particular.

    Abeno Seimei's prediction did in fact come true, as a man named Oda Nobunaga appeared after some time and declared himself the 6th Sky Demon King. Oda Nobunaga is similar to the Black Mage (Maple World), Gerand Darmoor (Grandis), and FriendStory's White Mage (FriendStory) in terms of power and is essentially the Sengoku version of the Black Mage.

    With the aid of an army, Oda Nobunaga seized Japan entirely. Oda Nobunaga did not have the power of the 6th Sky Demon King just yet however, and he had to first perform a ritual to gain the full power of the Demon King. He began to perform this ritual in Honnoji.

    While it seemed that Japan would be taken over by Oda Nobunaga, Abeno Semei also predicted that there would be 5 warriors that would stand up and fight against Oda Nobunaga to save Japan. These 5 warriors were called the "Children of the Five Stars". These 5 warriors are essentially equivalent to the 6 Heroes of Maple. These warriors include:

    • Kanna, the fan wielding magician.
    • Hayato, the katana wielding warrior.
    • It can also be assumed that Ayame is one of these warriors as well, but this has never been confirmed. Ayame does fit in very well with Hayato and Kanna though, so it is very likely that Ayame is one of the "Children of the Five Stars". She would most likely be the pirate Sengoku class.
    • Assuming that Ayame is also one of the 5 warriors and that she is a pirate class, then the 2 warriors that are left include an archer Sengoku character and a thief Sengoku character. As of this post, these two characters are completely unknown.

    In order to complete the ritual in Honnoji, Oda Nobunaga required the power of Princess Sakuno, who is a very noble and powerful figure in Japan and is essentially the Empress Cygnus of Japan. In order to capture Princess Sakuno and sacrifice her for the ritual, Oda Nobunaga has Princess Sakuno's entire family killed.

    With Princess Sakuno captured and about to be sacrificed for Oda Nobunaga's ritual, Kanna, Hayato and NPCs such as Takeda Shingen, Tsuchimikado Haruaki, and Uesugi Kenshin attempt to stop Nobunaga's ritual and save Princess Sakuno. They performed the following battle plan before the completion of the ritual in Honnoji, which was taking place at nighttime.

    • Hayato faced Oda Nobunaga himself and went towards the temple where Oda Nobunaga was sacrificing Princess Sakuno.
    • Kanna helped delay the ritual by heading to a different temple to destroy an altar that was being controlled by Mori Ranmaru. Kanna and Mori Ranmaru battled, but Kanna managed to destroy the altar and interrupt Oda Nobunaga's ritual which was occurring in a nearby temple.
      • Kanna and Mori Ranmaru were once rivals, both taught by Tsuchimikado Haruaki. Mori Ranmaru betrayed Kanna and ended up working for Oda Nobunaga.
    • Ayame was working for Princess No at the time of the ritual. After noticing Princess No block Hayato's path into the temple, Ayame decided to betray Princess No by shooting at her from a distance, giving Hayato access to the temple.
    • As for the archer and thief Sengoku, their identities are unknown and as a result it's unknown what they were doing during the time of the ritual.

    The ritual gets successfully interrupted, but the interruption leads to a bright light encompassing the entirety of Honnoji, transporting everyone in the light, including Kanna, Hayato, Ayame as well as the NPCs to Maple World. At Maple World, the Sengoku alliance set up a base called Momijigaoka where everyone discovers that Oda Nobunaga is now somewhere in Maple World attempting to restart the ritual as well as takeover both Japan and Maple World. Together, the Sengoku Alliance tries to stop Oda Nobunaga. The Sengoku Alliance also joins the Maple Alliance (as seen in Hayato and Kanna's storyline quests).

    Hayato and Kanna's storyline quests are them essentially trying to first rescue Princess Sakuno (who gets captured in Maple World by Oda Nobunaga's army) and then finding out the whereabouts of Oda Nobunaga.

    The last detail to mention is that Oda Nobunaga has commanders similar to the Black Mage's commanders. These commanders are called Oda Nobunaga's "Four Heavenly Kings" and consist of the following individuals:

    • Princess No, Oda Nobunaga's wife and a strong force in Nobunaga's army. Princess No has a boss battle in Hieizan Temple where she has her own four generals consisting of Mikagami, Renka, Oura Shogun, and Miroku.
    • Hashiba Hideyoshi. In Kanna and Hayato's storyline quests, Hashiba Hideyoshi joins the Sengoku Alliance and betrays Oda Nobunaga. He can be found as an NPC in Momijigaoka.
    • Takigawa Kazumasu. He is fought and defeated in Kanna and Hayato's storyline quests. It is uncertain whether he will make an appearance in the future.
    • Akechi Mitsuhide. He is a swordsman that is often referred to as very handsome and beautiful in Kanna and Hayato's storyline. Before reaching the temple to stop the ritual in Japan, Hayato encounters Akechi Mitsuhide and mistakes him for a woman and calls him a "fair maiden". During Hayato's storyline quests, it is revealed that Akechi Mitsuhide abandoned Oda Nobunaga and instead works on his own terms for taking over both Maple World and Japan himself. The Sengoku Returns: Asura War update particularly focuses on Akechi Mitsuhide (as well as Oda Nobunaga).

    A common misconception is that Mori Ranmaru is one of Oda Nobunaga's "Four Heavenly Kings", but according to the storyline he is not.

    To conclude, here is one fun fact and one fun theory about the Sengoku class branch in general!

    • While Kanna and Hayato are not playable in The Korean MapleStory service (KMS), there was a patch where KMS players did have access to Kanna, Hayato and Ayame. In the 2015 Spinelwagon World Tour event, KMS players were able to take part in events that were thematically based on countries of the world such as the USA, China, and Japan. For the Japan-themed event, KMS players could take part in the Hieizan Temple Dungeon and play as the Hieizan versions of Kanna, Hayato and Ayame! You can see the event here!     • There is a theory where Renka from Hieizan Temple is possibly one of the "Children of the Five Stars" alongside Kanna, Hayato and most likely Ayame. When Kanna, Hayato or Ayame speak to Renka in Princess No's storyline, she either does not speak or says at most a couple of words.

    ScubaSteve - a confession

    So this is ScubaSteve the chief bandit in Scania from way back in the day. For those of you that don't know, I was the highest level and most badass bandit for the first few years of the game.

    It's time to come clean. Many might not know this story, so I will give a little background and just get into it. We were just starting to complete Zakum as a server. Vengeance was there and a few of my buds such as Kenn. This story takes place on the 3rd run ever and zakum was hard and took hours back then. As a bandit I found it easier to use a controller and I had my loot key bound to R and setup so it would spam the loot key by just holding down R. The previous couple runs when zakum was taken down everyone would run around all the loot (there were no rules to stay to the left). Some badass took advantage of the situation and stole all the loot. Nobody ever knew who did it through all the chaos but I was highly suspected. They even required me to allow someone on my account about an hour after the run to check if I had the loot. There was no loot though when they checked. They always suspected me and I always denied it. Until today. I did it and I still chuckle thinking about it today. I had an inside man (Kenn) and I transferred all the loot to him before letting them check my account. The end! Best bandit ever!

    Demon Slayer's Chaos Lock is STILL bugged.

    Chaos Lock is DS' teleportation skill.
    When used, its supposed to cost 20 DF (16 after the Blue Blood reduction).
    When used right now, it costs 40 (32) DF, since it costs DF when using the skill AND after teleporting.
    Also, it only checks your fury for the initial cast, so if you have over 20 but less than 40 (over 16 but less than 32), the game freaks out after the teleportation (where it tries to take fury you dont have) and kicks you to the login screen with the beloved "Unable to connect to the game server" message.
    (Quick disclaimer - some blessed demon slayers are safe from this disconnecting phenomena. Maybe it has to do with ping. The vast majority of us do disconnect though, and either way - everyone is affected by the double cost.)

    The purpose of this post is not to explain the bug though. That would be stupid, since it has been explained at LEAST 6 collective times here and on the bug forums, including video evidence.
    The bug is in the game since the Pathfinder patch - thats almost a year and a half now.
    Seriously, what do we have to do to get this fixed? What further insight is required? There's a whole community of DS players waiting to provide it, and lets face it, this bug can be fixed in 10 seconds and 2 lines of code. Is this not considered a critical bug, even though it disconnects players from the game?

    Gollux first attack

    When ever I enter the map, I get hit by his first breath attack because I can't jump the the other side of his head fast enough. I'm playing blaze wizard so my jump is on the slower side, but is there a way to avoid this first attack without dying? I guess the alternative would be just to tank the hit.

    Hello,

    I was banned a couple of years ago, I think for afk attacking or botting..? where i put tape on my skill keys while I pooped or napped and I was banned for a week (I didnt even know it was against the rules, I thought only hackers get banned..)

    Now that I came back, I tried using the maplegg website and I can't find my ign. Is there a way to fix this?
