    We all understand that nexon is not an indie company, and that maplestory is not an indie game, yet the accessibility options in this game are laughable. No colour blind options, active punishments for people who have a hard time seeing, and the amount of photosensitive triggers and epileptic triggers is astonishing.

    Nexon, this can't go on. If you want to make flashy new things, give an option to opt out. The new skill for capping ACTUALLY hurts to look at, and it is NOT affected by any transparency tools in this game. I am NOT allowed to turn off the visual effect of this skill.
    I suffer from chronic migraines and do have slight epileptic triggers but it's manageable, given I am allowed to adjust to m needs. This is not that. You can't just flash a bright light in peoples faces without the ability to turn it off. This is horrible design and has made it so I can't finish this event.

    this event is now unplayable because I'm not allowed to turn down the skill that blinds me.
    I'm not even talking about how we can't turn skill transparency to 0, because that's a whole other issue you need to fix.

    Please fix this. Either change the visual to make it less intensive, or just allow us to dim it with the skill transparency and familiars. I see no reason why we can't do this.

    This is actively harmful and the only actual remedy is to not cap. I can't even opt out of the event. Any character I accepted this on are now unplayable.

    Just for reference. I got halfway through capping before I felt faint and needed to go lay down. That's how bad the flashing is. I have black spots in my vision still as I write this.

    The rise and fall of the best KMS Blaster on youtube

    A part of the community here may remember that I posted a few videos of a certain KMS blaster to this subreddit.

    Blaster in general is a hard class to play and videos of someone playing the class properly (without keyboard macros) are always fun to watch. It has numerous tools for mobility and damage reduction that make a good Blaster unkillable.

    But this guy was at another level. It's not hard to find videos of Blasters just i-framing out of sticky situations or detonating across the map to safe spots. This particular player however, consistently utilises these defensive capabilities aggressively, sticking to bosses far more than any class should be allowed to, allowing himself to get far more damage in than other Blaster players. Because of this, he was the first to solo hwill and all hard tenebris bosses both in reboot and in regular servers (on someone else's account).

    He quickly gained a following on youtube as his stunts racked up, and more and more players began offering him their accounts to request him to boss for them. He eventually made it a business; soloing hard bosses on others' accounts for payment.

    However, two days ago his youtube account basically just evaporated. All its videos unlisted, his profile pic changed from his maple character to a generic one, and all his Community posts were deleted, with one remaining post.

    His statement mentions a lot of stuff, but one thing in particular stuck out; a trick he mentioned called "버브 리레".

    버브 is Burning Breaker (Bullet Blast in GMS), the 3rd V skill. 리레 is Restraint Ring. Basically, normally Blasters don't use Restraint Ring during BB because BB has an absurd cast time (4-5 seconds) which will waste most of the buff.

    However, as it turns out, all seed ring skills have no cast animation. Hence they could be used during other skills. He leveraged this during his latest (late Dec, like right before new year's) videos to cast Restraint right before the damage of BB came out, benefiting the large amount of damage the skill does while preserving the buff's duration for Overdrive.

    In the KMST patch on 31 Dec 2020, a particular change stood out:

    A short action has been added when using Seed rings' active skills.

    The change was minuscule. The new cast animation was only 2 frames (0.06sec) long. Seed rings basically still don't have an animation, but the change does make it such that they can no longer be used during other skills.

    It was evident that the change was surgically targeted at 버브 리레.

    This gave him cause to consider that maybe his videos were negatively affecting the Blaster community as a whole by giving Nexon reason to nerf them or decide not to buff them because of what he in particular (but not most Blasters in general) was capable of.

    He felt responsible for the change, that his videos showing exceptional control would cause misconceptions about the average player of the class. He felt guilty in particular that "Blaster players were negatively affected by his greed" as he chased more and more youtube clout by doing ever-harder challenges on Blaster. As a result, he decided to close his youtube channel.

    It's still not clear at this point what Nexon KR uses to decide their balance changes, because transparency has never been one of their virtues. It would be funny to think that popular youtube videos could influence the balance of the game, but at the same time it's hard to shake off how coincidental and how targeted the change was.

    p3 has 157.5t + 3.77t per white HP, which leads to the result a little bit higher than the actual dmg.

    by the video one can see that the white HP gauge of p3 is roughtly 3.5t

    (tested by checking the battle analysis by frame from white HP is full to empty and then take average.)

    so p3 real HP = 201.2 - 3.5x12 = 159t, let's say it's 160t

    p4 is more complicated,

    by the same method, white HP gauge of p4 is around 3.3~3.4t,

    so, p4 has 211 - 3.4x23 = 132.8t

    but I think it's fair to guess p3 & p4 has same HP amount on white HP guage

    if we take p4 white HP as 3.5t, then p4 real HP is 130.5t which seems to be more reasonable

    but both situation don't match with maplewiki, which said that p4 has <99t HP

    Anyone else tired of the fact that in the third part, the typical bug starts where you can't attack or do anything? It doesn't even revive ... it's been going on several times in a row, now this happens almost every day, a Nexon disaster.

    I was wondering if I could get help finding a really old official maple video.

    I'm an old player (pre big bang), and I was wondering if anyone could help find a like a movie type animation that maple had. I'm not sure about the specifics, except that it had the four original adventurers fighting I think Balrog.

    Absolab weapon box and burning world transfer

    I have been spinning it around in my head if I am able to transfer my lvl 220 character from the burning world to a non-reboot world with the absolab weapon box in their inventory.

    In the list of items on the patch notes it doesn't mention not being able to but I don't want the grind to go to waste

    Nodes enhancement question

    Hey pros! I've been trying to get a perfect trio on my db for ages but have not gotten any luck. Have many nodes with two of the main skills, for example phantom blow and blade fury. I'm thinking of just using those for now so it helps me more with my day to day. The question is... if I use this non-perfect trio and enhance it a bunch to high levels, then one day I find my perfect trio, and then want to feed the non-perfect node, would that node only be considered exp for a normal node? Or would it be equally transferred into my perfect trio?

    Acquired the Pretty Pony Carousel just so I could display three Lil Ponys on it... it works!!! (Even if triple pony does not count for full set effect..)
