The Drowsy Rabbit Damage Skin was offered as a free bonus in a guaranteed box in KMS, and now to get it in magic wagon you have to spend at least 100 dollars on JUST RESTOCKS

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 02:07 PM PST

Here is a picture of the package from KMS

19K NX for all of these items, with the damage skin included as a FREE BONUS.

Now to even see it in your magic wagon rotation, at least 100 restocks are required (so 100 dollars), and even then it is not guaranteed that you will see it.

what a scam, please do not spend any money on this garbage.

Hit a wall, not sure where to go from here

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:54 PM PST

    Hey,

I'm a 230 NL on Bera. I'm currently sitting on 2L 17* everything, with 4 set fafnir, 2 set Abso, 4 set Gollux, and 2 set 9/8* tyrants. Where do I go from here? I feel like I'm supposed to start trying to get into Arcane gear, but I don't think they will be upgrades from my Absolab/Tyrants until I have multiple pieces finished. Do I start with the claw, or something else? Are there any other stepping stones that I'm missing, or do I just need to prepare to take the big leap up? Thanks for any and all help!

Giving the Akechi Kanna Fan to Haku

    Posted: 14 Jan 2021 01:02 AM PST

Is the Ame-no-Uzume's Red Flower fan a better weapon for Haku to use while already having 5 set Absolab? For context, this is for my Kanna farmer on Reboot. Most players usually hold on to a second Absolab fan, but seeing how the weapon can have a two set bonus when equipped + being easier to obtain instead of partying for Damien, it just seems like a better secondary weapon for Haku to get stats from. On top of that, the base stats on the Sweetwater fan are much weaker too, so it seems very reasonable.

    Any general thoughts or opinions?

Contemplating starting out but I have a few questions.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:46 PM PST

So I did my research and currently play maple story m. I liked it because it was easy to auto quest and follow the many quests, but I wanted to try the pc version, which yes I know, doesn't have this,

Now my research indicates, for me at least, reboot is the server I want. I don't like pay to win, I do know you need to buy a pet and their skills for auto looting, so that's fine. I can justify that.

I also know reboot will be slower, but more easier to progress, in other words I can go quest hunting, which I like to do.

I know this game can be grindy, it's a Korean mmo after all. But I have heard that:

    • characters on reboot are less powerful then those on reg servers
    • item progression and character progression is also slower and more "stream lined" which indicates to me that there will be something I am missing out on that you wouldn't with reg server.

Is that true? Even end game characters? Because reboot doesn't let you trade, is this concept of linking still a thing for reboot. Like the link skills or what ever they are called? (Where you have multiple characters at 70-120 for buffs on the main?)

My research also indicates that kanna (or some such class/character) was the best for reboot for mesos and that all new people should make this their main. Is that true in 2020? Or can I pick what I want? I did like the demon class on mobile.

I know you have to farm like crazy on reboot, which is generally fine with me. I mean it's either break out the credit card or grind, I'll take grinding.

If I covered the major differences, aside from progression being more straight forward, is there anything else I should know?

For context I currently play final fantasy 14 online, I know these are two vastly different games but I've seen and watched tons of maple story videos and am curious about the desk top version, which I played years ago, but never stuck around long enough.

Also how is the lag? I have heard it's pretty bad.

    Thanks for answering my questions.

Magic Wagon rates scaled by restock tier

    Posted: 13 Jan 2021 11:26 AM PST

If you read the restock explanation on the Magic Wagon minisite you would be greeted with a neat table explaining how your odds for items of a given restock tier work based on how many restocks you've done.

However, the table does not show the Magic Wagon's actual probabilities by tier, only an example version. I've put together a sheet that shows the probabilities of obtaining items of a given tier by restock count.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uxn7BXIg9aFHuJ3tWT2VcNCZZ3fePhGtlRmVH1djbJA/edit?usp=sharing

Here's a quick comparison between the total base rates of the current wagon versus the last wagon in September

    Restocks required January 13, 2021 September 22, 2020
    0 15.05% 21.42%
    1 10.50% 1.70%
    10 20.65% 16.90%
    20 29.80% 36.89%
    50 8.68% 11.73%
    100 14.21% 8.07%
    150 0.39% 1.70%
    200 0.30% 1.26%
    Total 99.58% 99.67%

If you want to find the chance of finding a specific item at a certain restock tier, divide the base rate of the item by the effective base rate of the tier, then multiplied by the effective base rate by restock level.

For example, if I want to know the real chance of finding a Star Lotus pet at 100 restocks, I divide .03% by 14.27%, then multiply by 14.37%, for a total of .0302%.

You may be unsurprised to learn that the 200 restock tier items have a collective 0.30% chance to appear. Since each reroll shows you 6 items, this means that at 200 restocks you have about a 1.78% chance to see at least one 200-tier item per reroll.
