    Is anyone's "Glory Guard Training Skill:Sentinel"disappearing?

    [Question] I did the quests up to true form and got the skill. Then I tried to get it on a mule to afk for exp, and the skill disappeared. Is this happening the anyone else?

    It's happening to my characters who are below lvl 200. Maybe you need 5th job? I ranked up on my kanna, and have the skill on my hero no problem.

    They fixed it by slapping it into the excluded items instead of making them actually swap stats. The items that are included in this category are: Weapons, Secondary Weapons, Arcane Symbols, and Pet gear. Here is why I think totems should be effected and why I think they never will.

     

    I'll start by explaining what the skill does. Pirate's blessing is the pirate link skill(duh), and it has a passive for everyone to use. However, for adventurer pirates and adventurer pirates only, there is an active. In the simplest way I think I can explain, this skill allows us to take ALL of the DEX or STR that ALL of our equipment is currently giving us from flames, stars, potential, and item base stats, and swap ALL of it. This means that if all of my gear was giving me a collective 100 flat dex and 30% dex, activating this skill would covert this into 100 flat str and 30% str. This only effects the way the stat is calculated and does NOT visually change the stats on your items.

     

    With that out of the way, I will now explain why the skill doesn't effect certain items.

     

    • Weapons and secondary weapons do not swap their stats. This is because they are class specific and there is no reason for the stats on a cannon to swap when you are switching to a corsair, etc. as it would not effect you either way.
    • Arcane Symbols do not swap their stats. I could be mistaken here, but I believe if you swap to a corsair, your symbols automatically swap their stats, so their is no need for the skill to effect them.
    • As for pet gear, I'm honestly not sure why this is the case. I feel as though they should also be effected by Pirate's blessing, but maybe there is something obvious that I can't see. It could be that they want to squeeze a bit of extra cash from the adventurer pirates who actually use this skill by making them scroll another one(although I think people scroll for att/Matt), but who knows.
    • Totems are now officially included in this mix although there is no good reason for it

     

    Why I think they should be swapped:

     

    • The skill is designed to make the transition from a DEX pirate to a STR pirate(and vice versa) seemless as every other explorer branch that wants to job change does not need to swap out their stats on any piece of gear, let alone their totems. Totems not being effected means that we have to get super blessed by RNG each halloween for 6 dark totems. That's just plain unfair.
    • The totems themselves have no outside complication that prevents them from being eligible for the stat swap. As stated before, the items that are included have some reason as to why they don't swap(again I can't say for sure why this includes pet items). Totems give an amount of stats and an amount of attack and magic attack. Swapping these should be simple enough.

     

    As for why I think they will never actually implement this:

     

    • They don't feel like actually fixing it since kms doesn't have totems, so they just wrote it as intended
    • They want to make sure that they maximize their player count for dark lords of darkness event
    • Although it affects everyone who wants to job change as a pirate with a different stat, I would imagine that it's likely a minority and they don't see it as worth the time
    • The point of the skill was to prevent adventurer pirate's from having to upgrade their gear with scrolls, flames, cubes, etc. Totems are a clean item with no stat upgrades meaning that an adventurer pirate puts no investment into them. While this doesn't exactly excuse the fact that they don't swap since we now have to roll 3 dooms and 3 avengers during DLoD, it's worth mentioning I think

     

    Overall happy with and grateful for the active of the Pirate Link skill, but my hopes for it actually changing are next to none. Just thought I would vent before I accept the fact that I'm getting screwed on the totem slot. Anyone who has this same issue(all 3 of you) feel free to add any input. Feel free to tell me why I'm wrong if you think I am on anything mentioned above as well.

     

    Edit: I have no idea how to get rid of the break command but it's there to stay

    Hey guys. Since 90% of reboot is burning a kanna at the moment I thought it would be good to know the best arcane river maps and ideal rotations to do. Personally I'm not too sure as I'm very new to the class and I've been training at blazing in VJ and it seems to be semi effective but would love a better map/ rotation.

    Maplestory story update

    Hey guys,

    Does anyone have a link to a video or blog where I can view/read a comprehensive explanation/summary of the Maplestory storyline?

    I've been playing until the black mage patch, and during that patch I've been on and off.
    I have no clue what's been going on, what happened after the Black Mage has been defeated, what Aftermath is and the Glory update new areas.

    Also, I see while watching some videos that there are ingame storyline missions, however, I have no clue in what order I have to play them nor where they can be found.

    Any help is appreciated!

    [REBOOT] Rank Up Faster Using Multiple Characters? Huh?

    So I've always ignored events or never partake in them 100%. As a matter of fact, the last event(s) I participated in, you could farm coins by simply killing mobs with drop gear. And once you have enough coins, you can access all of the contents of the coin shop. That being said, this is the first event I'm participating in that requires you to rank up in order to gain access to certain parts of the coin shop.

    I get the gist of it where you have to farm coins from daily/weekly missions but when I was watching a YouTube video about the Glory Update, the person said that you have to do this event on several characters in order to "rank up faster."

    I'm going to find videos on how to play through this event/Update to it's fullest on my day-off from work but if anyone does not mind, can you tell me if I should do this event on multiple characters or not?

    "New" hairstyles

    Checking out the new batch of royal hairstyles I noticed something a bit weird.

    A style called " Long Hair with Parted Bangs" has been added with the "NEW!" tag, and I can't help but notice that it looks exactly the same as the existing hair style "Duchess Hair". Duchess hair is also available with the VIP Royal Coupon from the pre-registration event.

    Is this an error?

    Preregistration rewards

    How to Gain Guild Skill Points (SP)

    Newly joined a new guild. How can I use the skills on Guild? I'm trying to use the Enhancement Mastery, it says its a passive skill, but it also requires 24 SP. So how can I activate the skill and how can I gain SP? Thanks! <3
