    Masteria Update Information

    So here's all the stuff I gathered in the data for Masteria, some of it is speculation, and definitely spoilers ahead.

    Quests

    First, let's talk about quests, I haven't done them yet, so this is all based on what I can see in quest data: Eventually some characters from Monad get involved, so it looks like Nexon is really working off of/towards this video

    Finishing the quests just past the point you encounter them should give you the Naricain's Revival medal (All Stats +9, ATK/MATK +1, HP/MP +450) along with 5 Shadowknight Coins

    After this, the quest takes you into Phantom Forest, where you and the Alfinas Knights encounter the Raven Ninja Clan, and when you complete this set of quests you come out of it with the Legend of Crimsonwood Mountain medal (All Stats +8, ATK/MATK +1, HP/MP +400), along with like 30 Raven Ninja Coins, I think in total. Joko says he'll reward you if you do quests for him in the future (I'm guessing the dailies), and Fiona says she can craft Masteria Legacy items (this is the new accessory set I believe) if you have Shadowknight Coins

    Here's the exact text:

Go see what he wants. 64875/1 Joko says the Raven Ninja always always repay their debts, and mentions that he will reward you if you carry out requests for them in the future. Another of the ninja, Fiona, also has something to tell you about. Go speak with her. 64875/2 Fiona told you that she can craft Masteria Legacy items in the same fashion as Lireni once did. These relics are said to be artifacts that contain the power of the Grandmasters. Visit her with Shadowknight Coins to begin the process. 

    Daily Quests

    Dunno how many you get a day, but there are two kinds:

    • [Wanted] Kill 200 Monsters -> Get 3 Raven Ninja Coins
    • [Elite Hunt] Kill a boss -> Get 1 or 3 Shadowknight Coins

    You also get 3 Shadowknight Coins for completing all your dailies, I think

    There's another quest that unlocks Phantom Forest in the NLC Taxi, and then one last quest which I'm not sure about, but it's a daily quest, so I assume it does something important:

    Phantom Forest Data

    They added quite a bit of data regarding Phantom Forest. It looks like it's supposed to be some kind of survival horror-esque area with a sanity system. There are various effects that happen depending on how much sanity you have (not sure if it counts down or up, but I guess that doesn't really matter at this point), for example:

    • At 6000 Sanity, an "overlap" effect occurs - No idea what this is
    • At 3000 Sanity, the screen rotates (sounds nauseating)
    • At 5000 Sanity, some effect plays, like you're being attacked, and your face gets all scared
    • At 8000 Sanity, you start hearing a certain sound effect periodically, it's like breathing, creepy laughter
    • At 4000 Sanity, there's something called doubleMob, and it has the same text attached to it as elite mobs, but the last phase says "The dark energy has produced a corrupted explorer."
    • At 7000 Sanity, your character gets weaker based on the formula ((10000-x)/100)-1, where I'm guessing x is your sanity level. It affects Ignore DEF %, Max HP %, Speed %, Damage %, Meso Rate %, and I'm guessing RewardProp is Drop Rate %.
    • At 6000 Sanity, you start hearing a different BGM, called Whisper
    • Finally, something happens at 3800 Sanity with the name lookUser, no clue what this could be.

    There also appears to be a Special Mob system, kind of like elite mobs and bosses, I guess, there's 4 different kinds, I think one for each class other than pirate (because they're based on corrupted versions of the Crimsonwood Keep factions, like the mobs we've previously encountered in NLC). The annonuncements are the same as doubleMob above. It looks like you need to kill 100 monsters, and then there's a 50% chance of spawning a special mob with a 2 minute cooldown.

    And then, it looks like you need to kill 20 special mobs to spawn a field boss, which tie into the daily quests above. It seems like the 1 Shadowknight Coin dailies are for killing a special mob (elite mob) and the 3 Shadowknight Coin dailies are for killing a field boss (elite boss). There's a death count variable attached to field bosses that's set to 20. It seems field bosses also drop Blackgate equip boxes.

    There's also a Random Portal system, which I assume is basically like Pollo and Fritto, but this is with Jack and John Barricade. It looks like you need to kill 1500 mobs, and then there's a 100% chance of spawning one, and you can only enter 20 a day. These look like the rewards you can get for completing the portals:

    Finally, there's some kind of hyperEnchant system:

    As you may have assumed, the items are the 5 items from the new Masteria set, minus the totem, and the coin listed is the Shadowknight Coin

    Overall, it seems like it could be a pretty good update, I feel like they put way more effort into it than I personally expected.

    In the still-foamy wake of the Jett revamp that we received in the v.210 patch today, I think it's a great idea to have a hub thread for everybody to go over the changes and provide some insights to those who haven't invested as much dedication toward the class. The best thing we can do, and likely the only thing, is to be vocal about it.

    Please make yourself heard.

    I'm going to be blunt - in the 12 years I've been playing, I have never seen a worse skill update than this one. This goes beyond insulting; it's a spit in the face to the people who have spent thousands of hours of their time learning to love a class that gets stomped into the mud at every opportunity, not just by other players, but by the developers themselves. Jett players have collectively submitted hundreds of detailed feedback submissions and bug reports. We've worked hard to come up with reasonable improvements that wouldn't take more than a little effort, all out of our care to see this class shine as bright as its potential. This patch proves, without a doubt, that Nexon read not one single word of it.

    How did this patch clear testing when basically every class has issues? Why have we not heard anything? Where's emergency matintence? An in game notice that they fucked up? Anything?

    They cut this patch down because it wasn't all finished, and we got this untested mess. I'm shocked they haven't said anything and are acting like this is intended.

    Blackgate rings are now unique equips but if you had multiple equipped before the patch they'll remain equipped. Hopefully this is reverted during the unscheduled maintenance that will happen soon.

    v210 Jett Extraction Data

    This has to be the worst update for Jett I've ever seen, it is even worse than TMS's update for Zen. This was unexpected. I'm extremely disappointed and angry, I will be retiring Jett. If there is other extraction data you want request below.

    Strongest bossing skill is Starforce Salvo.

    Perfect trinodes and inner ability (if using Starline 1 for bossing) should be changed.


     

    Mobility:

    • Space Walk buffed from 280x310 (x by y units) to 450x500

    • Vortex Jump removed. So no more telecast.


     

    Mobbing: Planet Buster

    • Planet buster hitbox increased from 373x271 to 410x275.

      Cooldown removed. Delay REMAINS THE SAME at 1080ms. TMS has 780ms.

    • Starline 4 removed, Starline 3 nerfed in damage from 400% * 3 to 270% * 4. (these two skills had similar damage, same hitbox, and same node scaling prior update). Backup beatdown given 60 second cooldown, no longer relevant.

    • Starline 3 boost node reduced from 7% to 3%

    • Starline 3 cannot be used mid-air

    • Starline 1 600 ms as before. Nerfed to now deal 135% from 420%

    • Starline 2 nerfed from 450ms to 540ms. Nerfed to deal 200% * 3 from 420% *2

    • Damage nerfs to Vortex Cross and Spacial Shift.

    • Cooldown of 3 seconds to Cosmic upheaval.

    • Damage buffs to Falling Stars and Stellar Impact, but cooldowns added. 8 and 10 seconds.


     

    Bossing:

    • Due to Planet Buster not receiving TMS changes to delay, Starforce Salvo remains best (only) option.

    • Due to Starlines not receiving scaling damage from Starline 4 anymore, no longer viable option.


     

    Fifth Job:

    No changes seen to Gravity Crush unlike in TMS.

    No other changes worth noting.


     

    Opinion

    This is it. Mobbing gameplay consists of just jumping around spamming Planet Buster and Allied Fury with Orbital. Chaining Vortex Cross into Vortex Jump was so useful, yet now it's been removed.

    From what I gather here, Jett's gameplay was very much condensed and simplified to the point of flash game design from 2005.

    So many skills have been made obsolete. Freedom of choice in gameplay style, which was afforded by the introduction of 5th job and nodes, for any class, has been robbed from Jett.

    There is no reason to play Jett any longer. Its few unique aspects I valued are gone.

    Jett has been my favorite class since its release and still is to this day. However, ever since 5th job came out Jett has been neglected by Nexon. They just won't listen to what us, Jett mains, have to say. I know that I didn't contribute a lot when it comes to suggesting skill changes but for those who did, they just got tossed away like Tuesday's garbage.

    Nexon think they know what our class needs but in reality they don't. They just throw random numbers at any skills in sight, add unnecessary cooldowns in some skills, nerf many skills and call it buff. Is it that hard to JUST BUFF the class? We don't need rebalance we surely don't need nerfs we're asking for buffs...

    I'm just gonna go play a class that Nexon KOREA is in charge of. GMS is truly disgusting lol

    New NLC equips

    Album of equips

    All the equips are Lvl 180 (except the last one, which is Lvl 100)

    Set effects are:

    4 set: 35 All stat / 1000 Hp & Mp / 35 Att & M Att / 10% IED

    5 set: 5 All stat / 5% Max Hp & Mp / 5 Att & M Att / 5% Crit Dmg / 10% Boss

    6 set: 10 All stat / 10 Att & 10 M Att / 30% Boss / 30% IED / 5% Crit Dmg

    None of the equips currently show stats, as they are intended to be upgraded as you progress through the new NLC quest line.

    The last equip on the list is considered a lucky item.

    P.S. If anyone is able to translate what that last equip is suppose to be, it'd be appreciated

    Edit: Appears the last item is a totem, from /u/CorsetdNone of the items state that you are unable to apply potentials to them, so it is assumed they are pottable.
    It is also time-limited, didn't realize (Thanks to /u/Transcendion)

    Upgrade scrolls for the accessories (Assumed to be non-Reboot only)

    New Masteria Set vs Current BiS Gear

    Using currently known data about the new Masteria accessories (no base stats), I've calculated how much better they are when used as a set compared to current BiS gear for normal servers. You can check out the chart here:

    In summary, yes the new set is slightly better, with 1/3 to 1/2 of the upgrade being using the ring instead of Meister (or solid if you do not have a BoD). After that, they are not worth switching to unless you go the full 6 set. In any case, if you already have finished Gollux gear, its probably not worth upgrading to them unless they have a ton of base stats or you want the absolute BiS gear.

    The gear currently has no base stats listed, though do have scrolls, I will update the chart when we know what the numbers are. My guess is they would be similar to Sweetwater Tattoo and Monocle, so not a huge amount like Arcane but still something. We also dont know if they will be psokable after equipping, or if they are fully untradable like Sweetwater.

    One other big assumption is we dont know if the totem (which has an expiry date) is easily obtainable, since only the full 6 set is BiS. If the totem ends up being insane like the Inverse Codex then there's not much point in upgrading to this set, but we will see.

    I did not make a reboot chart yet because if you can only obtain one of each, like Gollux, then only the ring is useful, as the gear is level 180 and impossible to be transfer hammered. The only guaranteed thing is that the ring is better than your current 17* rings, so you can hold off on finishing your weakest one if you havent yet

    I imagine there's some 50-year-old programmer who does not play nor understands the game at all. He is tasked to roll out the patch and now all skills went haywire so he brews some coffee and then goes home for the day thinking "I'll start fixing this tomorrow".

    I mean honestly there cannot be a real team can it? Half the classes broke and no communication?
