Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:50 AM PST My baby sister is in 6th grade, and she called me today and asked me if she could make her own Maplestory account so she didn't have to wait for me to be logged off to play. Up until today she has just had a character on my account. Today she called me and spent 20 mins telling me about how she was able to finish all the quests in Henesys and Ellinia and how she got to level 30 today and was excited to upgrade her dragon (Evan). Nothing overly exciting, but I'm glad that she's enjoying the small things that I was able to enjoy when I was her age. [link] [comments] | ||
| Maplestory Captain's Journal Entry Number 5 Posted: 17 Feb 2020 12:18 AM PST It is Galactic year 443. Sunday February 16th, 4051 on the Earth calendar. I wake up and don my official interstellar LeWaffles uniform. I make sure to equip my standard issue Raven Horn ™ plasma dagger and put on my anti-anti-gravity Bun-E ™ slippers. We are performing the monthly exterior station inspection, checking for and repairing any damage to the hull or replacing any shield batteries that are close to depletion. I greet my lieutenants, LeSyrup and LePancakes, and we proceed to the command deck. I engage the auto-pilot on the ship. Auto-pilot is technically banned under the federation LeWaffles star fleet code 902, aka "botting". But times are tough. I've spent years at this academy earning credits to upgrade my ship. We just call it "star forcing". The last upgrade to my ship was 10 years ago attempting to go from a tier 21 destroyer to a tier 22 genesis starblade, but the upgrade must alter the warp core fundamentally and is dangerous for the ship. I know this personally, as my ship was blown up in the accident, with half my crew sucked into the unstable black hole. I am nearly ready to attempt the upgrade again, and I am willing to take risks to get there, even if it means the risk of removal from LeWaffles star fleet. We walk out onto the exterior maintenance hatch to begin the inspection and my worst fears are realized. Hundreds of disciplinary cruisers full of Galactic Managers, GMs for short. LeWaffles leading them, laughing. A dark, empty laugh. The GMs arm their weapons and fire upon us. My last thought is of my children's faces. They used to look up to LeWaffles. They used to watch his guides. But the old LeWaffles is gone. The flash of white light is the last thing I see. There is no sound. My journey is over. I am 22 stars. [link] [comments] | ||

I'm not asking about the most OP classes once they hit 5th. What I am asking is classes whose 5th job skills actually add a lot to them. This could for example be a lower tier class that at 5th starts shining due to very useful set of skills. Or a class that has one very nasty weakness, that at 5th job gets addressed and from there playing it is for more pleasent, damage being 2ndary issue. Which jobs/classes have a 5th job that is actually fun and/or helpful to them, and not "well it's there, but all the good stuff already happened in previous jobs, this is just bit of extra spicing.." | Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:08 PM PST I'm a MM main, with a +1 speed IA that I got from circulator a long time ago and 37 buff that I rolled with honor. I really want a crit 20 or at least about 15-20. I have a huge stock pile of non-expiring circulators from a long time of accumulating Bebe boxes that I am positive I have a decent chance of landing it.The near max buff is nice but I don't quite need it so I am happy to let it go. Question is, should I sacrifice them both in the event I roll a crit 20 via circulator and attempt to get my +1 speed back via honor or just keep rerolling my 3rd line with honor to keep both? Based on what I hear, crit 20 is notoriously hard to get via circulator let alone honor but apparently so is speed +1. [link] [comments] | ||

A lot has improved in terms of class concept and animation, so what started as a simple curiosity has now become a genuine interest in the game, but there are a couple of things that are really holding me back. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me some advice regarding these personal issues. These are my findings from my personal research. If I'm wrong in any way, shape, or form, I'd be extremely grateful if someone could correct me and help steer me in the right direction. Alright, these are the parts of the game that are making it hard for me to want to get back in (this applies to Reboot, by the way):
I've asked my friends to join me so that we could maybe all work together to make this difficult process just a bit easier, but nobody is interested. I'm basically on my own, so this whole idea of coming back strong seems like a bust to me. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:39 PM PST This is getting very frustrating. I've tried opening through Steam, and the Nexon launcher. Uninstalled multiple times. Even edited the soScreenMode to value 3. Everything is hopeless. It seems to launch Nexon Security System, and then a window for Maplestory launches. But its just a white screen then says (Not responding) every single time. Working on 200% drop on equips for my kanna at the moment. Perhaps because of the nature of Arkanna being prominent in reboot, while I was able to find information about meso rates per hour, I am missing information that would be useful for main servers. The questions I have are, 1) How many mobs do you kill in an hour? (Would prefer to know from players one shotting with kishin/lucid soul, if not please tell me how strong your kanna is) 2) How many nodestones/droplets do you get per hour? Currently I am trying to decide to main between BW and F/P and having a hard time finding ways to start making any kind of meso. I only have the 3mil from the level 30 theme dungeons and trying to scrape by to level 100 with that. Is there anything I can do to get a bit of a jump start while trying to be mostly f2p rn?
