Unofficial Fairy Bros’ Damage Skin Selection Box List

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 12:09 PM PST

Someone posted a video on the official MapleStory Discord of the Fairy Bros' Damage Skin Selection Box on KMS. I decided to translate each Damage Skin to the names used in GMS.

This should help some people decide whether or not Fairy Bros' Damage Skin Selection Box is worth it for them or not. KMS has 185 selections, but GMS will probably get around 175.

Some side notes is that the not all damage skins are in here like Invisible Damage Skin. Most of these Damage Skins (if not all) are from previous run events. The Newtro Damage Skins are not available for GMS since we did not have that anniversary as of yet (and the damage skins not in GMS data). Again this list is NOT CONFIRMED.

Any mistranslated names? Let me know!

how do you guys enjoy the game still

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 06:40 PM PST

i started way back when pirates just came out and played up until renegades then quit and played on and off, lost interest after tempest and then when they removed jesters and lhc. played when reboot was released for a month or two. realized i lost interest since i actually understood the point of the game was to just do more damages and buff your equips with cubes was the only way and didn't want to spend real money to do it and party play became obsolete.

i just started playing again, played on reboot for a bit farming mesos. i then remembered my 3 pets were dead and read that they were removing bye bye station so i gave up, actually i wanted to play on bera because i missed the auction house and was pretty bored playing alone in that timed room in reboot wanted to do stuff like trading and merching.

then went to bera to make a new character, i got to around 87 on a ranger had a lot of fun after running the cringy theme dungeons and training spots. but then i sort of lost interest when i remembered that all i'm going to end up working towards is just potting my equipment and trying to get more damages until i can join a guild and do boss runs.

what motivates you guys to play? is it your friends, sunk costs or you actually enjoy just working towards hitting big numbers?

not saying the game is crap, actually enjoy the idea of playing towards increasing damage, just don't like the method of it. tbh i never got too far in the game even b4, i think the max i hit was around 170 on a hero during renegades patch and never really did any bossing past scarlion and targa (never spent nx on cubes)

    1x3L leg vs 2x3L unique ?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 07:15 PM PST

So, i'm slowly saving up mesos to buy my gear on reg servers (i'm too unlucky to try cubing myself) and im wondering which would be better.

I can either go for 30+%(3L leg), or buy instead 2 21%(3L unique) items (edit:accessories).

About pros and cons, obviously it gives more %stat to buy several unique items, but I'd have to cube them to 3L legendary afterwards which is a big no (or try reselling them afterwards). Meanwhile 3L leg items cost wayyyy more, but at least i'll be done with the main pot forever.

What do you guys think ?

(Extravagameza) Why does bring in a npc shop/chat cancel your queue?

Why is this even a thing? I have missed a couple of the 15/45 min events b/c of it. Pretty annoying.

If a huge reason why I’m playing this game is cosmetics, is reboot a bad world to play in?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 09:16 PM PST

Yeah sure bossing is cool and all but I'm playing this game primarily to buy pretty clothes for my characters, get cute pets, collect chairs and mounts, etc. I made my character in reboot because I've heard the GMS meso inflation is really bad. When I do engage in gameplay I didnt want to deal with that and having to constantly sell/buy stuff.

But now I'm noticing that when new perm pet packages come out or certain rng that give cosmetics (for example i think gold apples, philos and marvels do give cosmetics? Correct me if im wrong) are not available on reboot. Also they, along with gachapon, offer some pretty nice gameplay items it seems, such as familiars, pot scrolls, weapons and so on. These are all not available on reboot. As a result the gacha rates on reboot seem a bit different than reg servers but i couldnt quite figure out whether it was more for my benefit or the opposite.

That being said I do see lots of well-decorated reboot players. Is it on avg less cost efficient to prettify ur character and chair collect on reboot? Any reboot players that like to gacha or open premium styles? How is it for you?

Also, I dont see a lot of youtube vids that are of streamers opening boxes/gachas. Is this not a popular content for GMS? Because it totes is for KMS and I like them so I want to find some.

And finally whats the prettiest and/or rarest thing to get from the extravagameza coin shop😋? I'm looking at xylophone chair or cloudie mount but i havent been around for long so i couldnt tell which ones come back often vs not.

Mechanic - AP Salvo Plus & Homing Missile

Is AP Salvo Plus' attack rate meant to decrease when used in conjunction with the homing missiles? I performed two 20s tests, one with just ap salvo alone and the other with the missiles. Had booster+dsi+green pot active.

Help on picking a main in reboot:)

    Posted: 17 Feb 2020 02:47 PM PST

As topic suggests. Some days ago i got into reboot with fresh start and after setting up my mules (mihile, aran, kanna)...am thinking about a main.

    The candidates are:

Demon Slayer - love his visuals, especially 5h, but there is one skill that i really hate....and it's infernal concussion. I just hate it's visuals and as far as i understand it's my main grinding tool..

Kanna - love her. But am worried about bossing. No, not in parties, I know she's loved. I mean solo bossing. Does she need obscene amounts of funding to handle her boss solo fights?

Kinesis - heard he's bees knees and played him a bit in the past (till 3rd job). Enjoyed him, and while I absolutely abhore jobs that are all about being selfish damage and nothing for their party...this guy is an exception. Doesn't bother me at all with him.

Wind Archer - i always loved his visuals and that Black Mage solo talks... But am concerned about his grinding in later stages (150 - endgame). Isn't he abysmally slow when it comes to grind and dies on every step?

Pathfinder and Blaster - never played them. Are they fun? Any nice utility for my team? Good survival?
