In the meantime, I've always wondered about getting a basic laptop so I can do the 2pc meta. Assumptions: 1) Kanna doesn't have to be geared well if being carried from my main and stronger (230+) characters 2) Must be able to get to arcana even if AF isn't enough 3) No need to cube for meso/drop since it's not my farming Kanna (I already have one) 4) Its not bannable? 5) Could be leeched if tired of grinding (given the appropriate level range) Are any of my assumptions wrong, or am I missing anything? I was thinking about what makes the current Maplestory so different than the OG Maplestory. Don't get me wrong, I love the current game and actually prefer it. So what's the missing piece? Boats. Maple world is bigger than it has ever been. In fact, maple "world" isn't even one world anymore. Yet, the old Maplestory felt so much larger than the current one. Some of my best memories of OG Maplestory would be waiting on boarding stations, chatting with other people, and enjoying the 15-20 minute ride to Orbis, or from Orbis to elsewhere. Once you got into these new areas, there was no way back other than another boat ride. It made you feel like you were actually traveling across the world. Now, with VIP hyper rocks and other short cuts, everything feels much more compressed and streamlined. I don't even think the problem is there's not enough to explore. Even still I find myself exploring new content in this game and I've been active since '07. A lot of people think "new" Maplestory lost its nostalgia because of how fast leveling is, but I think that's only half the story. What do you think? :) [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 14 Apr 2020 09:25 PM PDT I just started playing maple again and decided to start in bera since its the most populated and I didnt have characters there, but it seems like its pretty laggy. Are the other, non reboot, servers less laggy? I only got about 40 so far so its not a huge deal to start over, but I dont really want to. [link] [comments] | ||
