    Hello Subreddit

    This post inspired me to make the post you're reading right now.

    There are a few things that should be discussed kind of openly:

    There is a difference between a publisher and a developer:

    Games that are published by Nexon are developed by someone else, usually a company or team that has partnered with Nexon. These partnerships are not indefinite and either party may drop the other, see Dragon Nest and Dirty Bomb.

    Notable examples of games that Nexon has published:

    Games that are developed by Nexon or one of their subsidiaries would include:

    Nexon America does not "develop" MapleStory

    I do not work for Nexon America, however I have gained knowledge over the years about them. I can only speak to what NXAM does for MapleStory. NXAM, for the most part, puts patches in place that Korea develops. This isn't to say that NXAM NEVER develops game content, they perhaps have in the past, however I've been made to believe they basically maintain the servers and apply patches that Korea provides.

    Issues in MapleStory usually require NXKR to intervene

    Nexon Korea almost always has a hand in repairing service to the game if something goes down. I've been told by previous employees that there have been many 2AM phone calls working with Korea on fixing bugs. If there's an in-game dupe, something crashing the game, etc, Korea has to step in. This can lead to extended periods of the crashes happening/etc before the game finally goes down for maint.

    If the CM defends or has the community in mind, they don't last long

    It's easy to see that over the past few CM's we've had, any time one of them would stand up for the player they were shortly canned.

    An example I can recall of this was when Nexon was going to patch in meso bags into the Reboot cash shop. The community asked and pleaded with the CM to stop this addition from going through. Between our outcry and the CM actually caring, we were able to stop it.

    Nexon needs to reinstate some form of Community Outreach Program.

    It's no secret I was part of the MLC many years ago. We had a decent system in place that was plagued with leaks, and it ultimately shuttered the program.

    We had a public website (While I'm ranting, Nexon was supposed to reimburse me for this...) that listed information about what the MLC met about and the outcome when it was brought to Nexon

    We had a ticketing system for the community to use to bring issues to the MLC. I think it mostly worked out pretty well.

    If Nexon sees the outrage in the community right now, and they actually care about the community at all, a similar program should be put in place again. Taking community feedback to heart is important for the health of a video game. Especially one that is dwindling in support in it's 15th year since launch (NA).

    Last note

    It's important to remember what is making you upset about the game right now, and the actions that Nexon is making to "fix" the issue. Remember and don't forget next DMT/Marvel Machine/ETC.

    It's cliche to say, but vote with your wallet. Do not reward a company that does not respect or care about the community. If they keep getting their paycheck without making many changes (if any) they have no need or urge to change themselves.

    I realize someone will say that what I'm saying could bring about the end of GMS. To that I personally say fine. There is a language barrier, but when I was "addicted" to MapleStory I played JMS and KMS. Both of those services are far better when compared to GMS.

    As a matter of fact, when the LAB server was in TMS, I had LESS LAG than GMS despite playing on a VPN over the ocean.

    Anyway, this concludes my rant on several Nexon/MapleStory related things. Take from it what you will.

    @Nexon, Please consider changing for the better. If you don't create any new "MLC" service, find something that fits for you but also benefits the players.

    UI Starforce Simulator, which is different from my other starforce simulator. This also doubles as an item simulator in case you want to know stats of items at various stars, scrolls, and flames.

    Not a statistical analysis of starforcing or anything like other starforce simulators. Just straight up starforce simulation as if you were starforcing in game.

    Also has a flame tier lookup in case you're curious as to what flame tiers your items have. And a starforce log of starforce cost that includes all combination of discounts.

    Probably buggy as hell. Logic from Maplestory StrategyWiki. Feedback, suggestions, and whatever appreciated.

    [NA Reboot] LF Guild

    Hello, I'm a 211 Ark /205 DW main that plays EST. I'm trying to find a guild that doesn't have a secluded friend group that's made up the top tier of the guild. Trying to find a chill guild that's knows when to be mature and if possible 18+. I ask questions time to time, not asking to get carried in bosses, I ask if people would like to do cap/hmuto when ever it's possible.

    Does anyone know if this interaction works? Since critical ring says it takes 10% of your main stat and turns it into crit, that would mean 10K stat becomes 1K crit rate, with vicious shot that would be 500% crit damage right?

    Hello,

    I want to try to roll 2 crit damage lines on my gloves, and I've read many posts saying to use black cubes instead of reds. They say that black cubes have a higher chance of getting prime lines. Is this true? AFAIK black cubes have a higher chance of ranking up a potential, and they give you the option of selecting if you want to keep the previous potential when you roll, but I have not read anything about them giving you a greater chance of prime lines. What is this based on?

    Also, in your experience, how much did you spend to get 2 crit dmg lines?

    Hi guys! I have a lvl 230 Kanna that's not strong enough to farm in Arcana yet so I'm farming in Lachelin atm. Mostly in Chicken Festival 1. I basically one-shot the mobs right now with exorcist charm and shikigami haunting but I'm having a hard time up-keeping Kishin 100%. Sometimes I'll have a 10 - 12 sec cd left before Kishin comes back up.

    I was wondering if everyone else is having the same troubles or if anyone has any tips and tricks for upkeeping Kishin 100%. Thanks!

    If you move from NA to EU now, you can still mega burn a character.

    Just moved to EU Reboot after recent evens (DMT), and realised i can mega burn a character, and after reaching level 200 you also get a normal burn.

    Please move into EU i need people to do usurus with :(

    This is my first time really working on a character and I've been saving for DMT, (ended up rage cubing and getting everything to legendary anyway), but now I'm a little lost on where to go from here. Any advice? Thanks :D

    Sidenote: with my passive buffs I get 100% crit rate (not sure how important this is to mention)
