    When is mid-game? [Community Poll!]

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 05:35 PM PDT

I haven't actually seen a consistent agreed upon definition for when mid-game starts, and what better way to decide on it, than to have the community vote on it.

(I've seen people state that Lucid/Will are still (late) early game, while other people are claiming to enter mid-game before they can solo Cygnus)

Normal Cygnus is around CZak level, so vote for that if you're thinking CZak.

Chaos Root Abyss includes CVell. If you think it starts at 3 Doors specifically, feel free to comment below and make that distinction.

Other is if you don't think bosses are the most accurate way to gauge midgame, and rather it should be at a certain stat, a certain dojo floor clear, or a certain level. (or some other measure)

Changes you wish for your class?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 11:35 AM PDT

Not just damage buffs or lower CDs, but actual changes in some mechanics that can make gameplay smoother and better. Quality of life improvement changes

    • Kanna: Increase the Max Mana so that we don't need to waste 10 Levels worth of Hyper Skill points in Mana
    • Illium: Keep the Orb charges even if you die. You can literally charge your orb and lose all those charges in 1 death, Showing actual numbers to the charge would make it better too. Also, allow us to use potions when casting Javelin/Orb. If possible let us keep out full crystal charge and not force us to use it when it's full, this will definitely aid bossing
    • Kinesis: Make Kinesis's airwalk like Hoyoung. Kinesis's airwalk is so clunky. I love this class I just hate the airwalk. The Flash Jump could be better too
    • Evan: Do not trigger "Return" when using Support Jump. Honestly I hate it when I want to use the jump but I don't want my Dragon to stop attacking. Also .... passive Magic Guard please
    • Explorer Mages: Passive Magic Guard please. This is freaking 2020 and you still have to cast Magic Guard like why?
    • Blaze Wizard: The vertical range of the Fireballs .... could be better
    • Luminous: The teleport ....... Non-Equilibrium Teleport is pretty sad compared to the other mages
    • BattleMage: Not much complaints maybe just increase the distance for the Altars. The teleport is really fast I love it but kinda short, then again maybe shorter teleport might be better for telecasting so maybe a passive Hyper toogle to increase teleport range of required?

In case you aren't aware of what Violet Cubes are:

Violet Cubes are used to reset revealed Potential stats on equipment items. They have a lower chance to rank up potentials compared to other cubes, but in return you will get a list of potentials to select from. This gives you greater control over customization. Items with 2 potentials will allow you to select from 4 potentials. Items with 3 potentials will allow you to select from 6 potentials. It's suggested to use Violet Cubes on Unique or Legendary potential rank equipment.

How to transition from "Early-Game" to "Mid-Game" ?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 11:00 AM PDT

    [GMS Regular Server]

Hi All, I've been playing more consistently since the Burning World this summer and I am reaching a point where I don't know where my focus should be to advance in the game. I am f2p and pretty casual in playing; I almost have all my equips at 10* Epic with at least 6% achieved slowly over the last several months via Legion shop scrolls, monster collection, and Eboss drops. After getting everything to Epic 6%, what next? I don't have a lot of mesos, so buying good equips with good flames/pots in the AH isn't viable yet.

    Additional info:

214 Cannoneer, 8k main stat, ~2.5k Legion, good progress on Link skills (at least level 2).

Gear: Absolab Weapon, 3set CRA, 7set Boss, 3Set Sengoku, Wings of Fate, Frozen secondary

WSE: Att 7%/Crit8% [Epic] weapon, Boss 35%/30% STR 9% [Leg] Emblem, [Trying to rank up to Unique] secondary.

Possible options for where to focus:

LEGION- with the Haste event coming up, I know I can make some progress here, but 4k Legion is an obvious milestone for me to try and get to. I just don't know if investing the majority of my time in Legion right now would boost my main significantly.

LINK SKILLS- I only have enough characters to 140 to fill my legion, and they are mainly decent link skills. I don't have 12 optimal bossing links yet, so that could be an area of focus. I also know there is free stat to be gained by getting the other 2 pirate explorers to 120, I just haven't yet. Would be good to know if this is a realistic place to focus on improving my main's strength.

GEAR- A couple pieces have really solid potentials; 15% unique on my CRA hat and top. The rest are primarily 6% epic and I know I could spend misc. cubes to work towards 9% epic as an option. I also know I don't have great flames on all my equips, I just don't know of a cost effective solution to be able to work on these well. Should I be using the boss flame drops on my accessories? Should I try and just get accessories with better flames? I'm kinda lost when it comes to flaming stuff. A third options would be slowly putting the money into starring things to 12* or 15* one at a time. This would more or less suck my coffers dry for what I think is relatively incremental stats. Not sure if it's the best route yet.

SYMBOLS/NODES- Symbols are slowly getting there (12/6 for VJ/ChuChu). The event that ended recently that gave out tons of symbols for the dailies sucked my meager savings dry. I figure I'll spend the money when they are ready for leveling up, but it's not something I can necessarily focus on. I've been grinding in ChuChu with all the exp/drop coupons from this event and gotten a handful of nodestones, but again it doesn't feel like something I can focus on.

BOSSES- I haven't started really investing in practicing boss mechanics. I've given a couple goes at bosses like Cygnus, Chaos Zak, and Chaos PB in practice mode, but I die within ~5 minutes so I know the mechanics need work. Everything else I can fight for bosses is a breeze, so I know I should be able to step up soon, if not now. My current goal is to be able to do 3 doors CRA solo and I'm not sure how to work on getting there.

I've gotten a great deal of enjoyment coming back to the game this summer and I've learned a lot reading this subreddit. Any help, insights, or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone know what instruments are used in the normal login screen?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 01:18 PM PDT

It feels like the login uses pianos, a wind instrument, drums, and some stringed stuff, but what are the specific instruments / names?
