Frenzy service is now regarded as Illegal Mesos-Farming Operations according to this ticket?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 08:46 PM PDT

    Hello all!

I have been trying to gather people from other servers regarding Ghiblee's announcement that was made for the last week's False ban wave. What I learned is that numerous Frenzy service sellers remain permanently banned for the hacking/third-party program reasoning. Later while discussing our ticket outcomes, all were accused of illegal Real Money Trade (RMT) actions.

    > To clarify: I had been banned due to the auto ban changes implemented on June 22nd.
Since then Ghiblee had made an announcement to re-investigate the False Ban wave.

Despite Nexon admitting their mistake and reconsidering the false ban reports, they finalized my ban with this reasoning on June 26th 2020 (Today): https://i.imgur.com/WIfDdNi.jpg

According to this ticket, Nexon stated that I conducted "Illegal Meso-Farming Operations tied to a known RMT source." Frenzy service actions were only conducted through player-to-player trades and in-game Auction House purchases. There is no other way I can interpret this statement from Nexon, and I can only assume the RMT source is the Frenzy Totem itself. I am hoping that Nexon clarifies their stance on Frenzy services for GMS.

If I am selling Frenzy service, I am quite literally trading in-game actions and time for in-game virtual currency. According to their Terms of Service:

IV. VIRTUAL CURRENCY AND VIRTUAL ITEMS - Virtual currency and points have no "real-world" value but may be exchanged for in-game items.

    - FrenzyIsNotRMT

EDIT: If you have been falsely banned for selling service or know anyone, PM me your discord

    Argument to Play Normal Servers

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 08:48 PM PDT

I'd like to list some points for why regular servers appeal to me much more than reboot, mainly to help prospective new (and old reboot) players that want to, play long term + more serious + shoot for late game, decide on a server. Open to discussion!

Note: I think you can progress in reg servers as a free to play, but will probably be much more efficient if you invested in your char to get over the initial hump so you can start bossing.

Here's why I think reg servers are so appealing:

    1.) Healthy Economy

With the botting issue mostly dealt with, reg servers are healthier than ever you can make 1.5b per week as a somewhat serious player selling boss crystals and drops.

End game players can EASILY average 10b a week if they can solo all bosses before black mage by selling boss crystals, bonus occult cubes, absolab, arcane, and dark boss equips. I do want to be transparent by saying the amount of money to reach end game status is quite a lot, but it's definitely not required to go that overboard for 99% of the content. Late game status can already clear 99% (if not 100%) of the content and is significantly more reasonable.

With the recent guild buffs (30% crit dmg, 30% boss, 30% dmg, 30% ied) and upcoming familiars, you'll have around 35% final dmg increase. So late/end game bosses are more accessible than ever. So the funding needed will become significantly less as well.

This isn't even counting the merching potential of reg servers, where you can make ALOT more mesos to help you progress as free to play.

    2.) End-game Content

Reboot does not have bonus potentials on items, so they will always miss a big chunk of dmg.

Comparing truly hardcore players in both servers, reg server players can clear end game content MUCH earlier than reboot players. For example, the first Black Mage clear happened in reg server more than 7 months ago. This means that reg servers get their genesis weapons more than 7 months earlier, because reboot has yet to clear.

    3.) Getting Something Back

You also have the potential to sell your gears when you quit, unlike in reboot.

    4.) Increasingly Less Time

As people start working, they'll be more financially stable and have less time.

Reboot may be very appealing at first for students or people that don't plan to play for many years. But imagine 5-10 years from now (if maple still exist, and I think it will) when you have your family AND work. I doubt people will still have the drive and time to farm in reboot just to progress.

    Closing thoughts:

If you're planning to be playing maple for a while (5+ years), it makes sense to choose reg servers. Firstly, you can actually remain free to play and even make income through bossing or merching.Secondly, you can experience end-game contents much earlier than reboot. Thirdly, you have the option of trading your gears for compensation. Finally, as life progresses, you'll have less time. So eventually you may not have the time commitment you once did, and may struggle to stay relevant which will make you want to quit. In reg servers however, you always have the option to supplement your lack of time with other means to stay relevant.

ORRR if you just want to spend little and henehoe, Bera is the best for that :)

Thanks for reading! I didn't expect to spend so much time on this lol :D

Gear progression towards CRA and Absolab

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 02:11 PM PDT

I love helping new people with progression until level 200. And this is the same advice I give each time and I thought more people would benefit from this.

If you are brand new and not sure how to feel stronger, this will be good for you.

    ---------------------------------------------------

Once you are farming pensalair gear (level 140 gear), keep an eye out for EPIC potential gear.

The fastest way to obtain them are through Rune of Riches and Elite Bosses.

For Rune of Riches, touch all the "sword" and "shield" bubbles with your character: they have a high chance of being EPIC/UNIQUE weapons or hat/overall/glove/cape/shoes.

If you are mobbing and all of a sudden your screen goes black and a red "WARNING" pops up, a shiny black knight (Elite Boss/e-boss) will spawn with 2-3 elite monsters. Killing an E-Boss will do two things:

    1. It will drop 1-3 purple chests (which will expire in 10? minutes) which have a chance to be 50% Epic potential scrolls (which are tradeable through storage and do not expire).

    2. After killing, there will be a "Bonus Round" A) Floaty monsters will drop bubbles (just like the Rune of Riches) and try to touch the Swords and Shields. B) Treasure box monsters will spawn. Hit them with your "Basic Attack" key and they will drop bubbles that you need to manually pick up (your pets will not auto loot them for you). Aim for the Swords and Shields.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Having an Epic potential is great and ideal. In Reboot server you can obtain "Occult Cubes" which will allow you to re-roll your potential. Pensalair gear will allow you to get 6% of your main stat for the top line which is a HUGE damage booster. For your Weapon, look for %Att/%MAttk If the equipment you found only has two lines, try using a "Potential Stamp" (found in shops like Leafre) to raise a 2 line to 3 line.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Before getting your CRA gear try to make sure you have 1-EPIC Pensalair Weapon 1-Epic Pensalair Hat 2-Epic Pensalair Overalls And star them to 11 or 12 stars.

Reason: you can transfer up to EPIC potential to the next item. If you transfer a Unique or Legendary, it will cause the potential to be dropped to EPIC, so don't spend too much meso trying to make it past EPIC. The OVERALL can be transferred to both TOP and BOTTOM of the CRA.

    -------------------------------------------------------

There are no CRA glove cape and shoes, however you can keep the EPIC pensalair ones until you get your ABSOLAB equivalent.

Chaos Zakum drops a level 150 cape Root Abyss has level 150 shoes Magnus coin shop has level 150 gloves

You can use those as a stepping stone to transfer your 12 star EPIC pensalair to become 11 star EPIC (listed above) gear to become 10 star EPIC ABSOLAB.

    ------------------------------------------------------

This method as well as having 7-piece boss set effect pretty much made all of my level 200 characters at ~400k range which is enough to get through to 210. Once you have CRA gear, you can invest however much you want into hat/top/bottom. These will stay with you until you have full Arcane Umbra (level 200 end game gear). Your CRA weapon will be replaced by ABSOLAB weapon so no need to invest BILLIONS of meso into it.

    ------------------------------------------------------

I wrote all this on my phone while I'm stuck at work on a Friday so apologies ahead of time if the formatting is bad.

    Rant: I really miss cosmetics.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 10:37 AM PDT

The cash shop is so bare. A lot of the clothing items that I used to love to use have just vanished from the game, and it's not like they were tossed into a gatch-clone, they're just gone.

And all of the hairstyles/faces are completely gone. We are left with some of the most awful royals and choice coupons of things that I don't think the community is very keen on.

What gives? The cute and customizable character options seemed like a staple in what made MS unique and fun. Is there a reason that this happened and I'm just out of the loop?

Cadena Boost Nodes Confusion. Is Veteran Shadowdealer good?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 03:33 PM PDT

I am trying to sub-main/bossing mule Cadena and I'm a little confused about which Tri boost nodes to go for. Most of the Cadena Guides and replies I've seen to this question have said something along the lines of "just get all 8 of your summon skills and thrash for Cadena trinodes".

However, I saw some Battle analysis(BA) videos of high level Cadena and the results of those videos don't match with the advice I've seen. In the 40s BA videos , Veteran Shadowdealer takes first or second spot and claw + scimitar are toward being last. Now both players use slight different combos/skills. In the first video they used beatdown and not maelstrom (beatdown = 8.6% which was more than most other summon skills) and the second video they used maelstrom but not beatdown. However, for both of them, Veteran shadowdealer was a significant portion of that damage.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtqmKmvf90w

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHad5VzJmPs

I found a 3rd video of a Cadena doing normal lucid in a party. They did battle analysis for p2,total time was 11mins 18 seconds. For them, Veteran Shadowdealer came out at 5.55%, which was still better than bomb((3.07) ,claw(2.84) and scimtar(2.75).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rrk3OUZlNQ

All of this leads to my conflict with the Cadena advice vs Battle analysis results. I know different people have different combos which will influence BA results and Cadena mains would probably want to get 3 tri boost nodes instead of 2, but it seems fairly obvious that if you only have room for 2 then Veteran Shadowdealer should be one of those skills. With it replacing scimitar/claw.

    Am I off on this?

I was thinking a priority of trinode skills, for bossing would be:

    priority 1 tri node = Thrash/Shadow Dealer/Bat

priority 2 tri node = Brick/Shotgun/(daggers or Beatdown)

priority 3 (and less mandatory) tri node = (Daggers or Beatdown) / Scimatar/ Daggers

Hello mapplers! I am a korean citizen currently residing in korea! I moved to korea because of family reasons from abroad and have to start a new maple account in the KMS server. If anyone is interested to join me I can set up a KMS account for you. As you know you need a korean social security number and a korean cell phone to make a KMS account. Well thanks to Nexon's 3 account policy, I can create up to 3 accounts using the same social security number and cell phone. If you are interested pls PM me. Have a nice day!

[Reboot] What link skills do people use for power leveling?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 01:57 PM PDT

I'm trying to figure out how people increase their damage to one shot at low levels.

I saw a video of a youtuber called Edan power leveling his adele, and he didn't even upgrade any gear for like 100 levels. I saw at lvl 30 he had 5000 range, then he put on link skills and went to 10k range. He didn't have any buffs when he put the link skills either. At lvl 70 he had 46k range (with the beginner equips), and tbh that's how much I usually have at lvl 120+. There was no upgrading sf or potential needed. Then he put on at lvl 128 the free frozen gear without upgrading it and went to 130k. He didn't have potentials on wse, no boss accessory. At this time he had no buffs at all, only exp potion. I was so confused.

He had Wild rage, elementalism, ark skill, core aura, bravado, hybrid logic, cygnus blessing, tide of battle.

I only have the kanna elementalism skill, and for buffs I only have monster park potions. I feel like putting these on don't really increase damage as much as I was thinking.

Does anyone have experience power levelling in reboot? I just want to be prepared and not get stuck not having enough damage.
