    Comprehensive RISE Coin Guide

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 07:58 AM PDT

    EDIT: Included missing, pertinent information.

The RISE event is here, and with it a whole new shop with a variety of desirable cosmetics and important items that can really boost progress.

    There are 3 shops:

    1. The Salon Stamp Shop (which honestly feels really lackluster and most of these items are too expensive for what they're worth)

    2. The RISE Royal Shop (where all the event's cosmetics are sold)

    3. The RISE Coin Shop (the main shop of the event)

The purpose of this post is to show you the amount of coins required to buy all the "best" things in the shop, which is subjective to your needs, but there are high-priority shop items common among all players.

Everyone has different priorities for the event, but I will exclude the Salon Stamp and Royal Shop, because this guide is focused less on cosmetics and cost inefficient stamp items, and more so on the amount of coins required for the RISE Coin Shop and all the goodies within, because this is what I assume most players aim for.

There are a couple additional things to note before we begin:

    • Arthur trains levels depending on RISE coins earned from killing, NOT from passively sitting in the event chair in salon. At level 1, with Arthur appearing in your map, you are given a minute to eliminate up to 10 monsters for guaranteed coins. At max level 5, you can kill up to 50 monsters for a guaranteed 50 coins.
    • Daily coin cap is 300 coins per character, and this does not change throughout the entirety of the event. Unlike Pixel Kingdom, you will only need to farm 300 coins per day per character up until the last day of RISE.
    • Every Sunday doubles the daily limit for coin cap, meaning you can cap a base of 600 RISE coins per character, excluding other RISE coin sources. You do NOT, however, accrue RISE coins twice as fast, unlike in previous events where you did.
    • You can attain additional coins from Battlefield of Honor (which functions similarly to the previous event's Pixrog), up to a maximum of 120 coins per day, and you can also obtain 30 RISE coins from the Maple Relay event. This means you can earn 450 RISE coins each normal day and 750 RISE coins each Sunny Sunday.
    • There are 3 Phases to the event, each phase lasting about a month, with each phase changing the contents of the RISE Coin Shop and the RISE Fountain.
    • The RISE Fountain allows you to donate coins up to a specific daily limit depending on the phase of the event, and after reaching the required amount, you are given a one-time reward. Donations are world-bound but the reward is character-bound, meaning you can donate with your mules but claim the reward on your main. Fountain donation daily cap also increases with each phase, so daily coin donation will have to be spread out to at least 2 mules per day instead of one, for Phase 2 and 3. Example: Daily donation for Phase 2 fountain (400 coin daily donation cap) is 300 coins on mule A, and 100 coins on mule B. Daily donation for Phase 3 fountain (500 coin daily donation cap) is 300 coins on mule A, and 200 coins on mule B.
    • The majority of items in the shop are untradeable and character-bound, meaning the bulk of purchases will have to be on your main character.
    • Some items won't appear if you're not high enough level or 5th job advanced, like the Arcane Symbol Selectors or Nodestone Boxes in the Phase 1 RISE Coin Shop.
    • There are NO discount Sunny Sundays this event, across all 3 phases.
    • The common theme of this event is sacrifice. You will not be able to buy out all the most important items in the shop, and these items are subject to change depending on your needs, but most, if not all the items, are very helpful in progressing you forward.

Now down to business. There's a few numbers to discuss, namely the amount of coins required to buy out all the important items in the RISE Coin Shop, as well as how many possible coins you can acquire throughout the entirety of the event.

    RISE COIN EVENT OVERVIEW

It's gonna cost 53.1k RISE coins to get all the worthwhile stuff from all 3 phases of the RISE Coin Shop. Removing all 3 RISE Growth Potions as well as the Extreme Growth Potion and the Pet Equip scrolls from the total cost, because you probably won't buy these on your main or they are low in priority, respectively, the total cost then becomes 33,500. The total number of RISE coins you can possibly attain across all 3 phases is 38,700 coins, which means you have 5,200 coins to spend on cosmetics, tickets, and other items. More detailed coin breakdown per phase is explained down below, so you know exactly how much leeway you have in each phase if you're aiming to get as much as you can out of the main RISE Coin Shop.

    PHASE 1 COIN BREAKDOWN

It takes 15,500 coins to buy out the Phase 1 shop, including the weekly boxes, but RISE Growth potions can be excluded if you're buying them on another character, which lowers the total coins required for Phase 1 on your main to 14,500 coins.

Assuming you began capping on Wednesday, June 10th, between maintenance and reset at the start of the event, it looks like you can only acquire a maximum of 13,800 coins from Phase 1: not enough to buy out the shop completely. If you buy 18 of the Special Medal of Honor instead of all 25, you will have spent exactly 13,800, which is also the max possible coins you can get in Phase 1.

    PHASE 2 COIN BREAKDOWN

In regards to the Phase 2 shop, assuming you want to ignore everything else and buy just the 3 Chaos Circulators, 5 Black Rebirth Flames, all 25 Eternal Rebirth Flames, and 20 Scrolls for Pet Equip, the total comes out to 30,100 coins.

Maple Relay ends on July 21st, halfway through Phase 2, which means we get less total RISE coins possible than in Phase 1. The total possible amount of RISE coins you can get from Phase 2 is 13,380.

This means you have to sacrifice some of the aforementioned items. Even if you prioritize the Black Rebirth Flames and Eternal Rebirth flames first, the total still comes out to a hefty 12,500, which means you have a total of 880 coins left over to get a head start on a completed ticket from the RISE Royal Shop, which costs 2,000 coins (200 coins each day for 10 days) for each completed ticket. Highly recommended at this point to purchase the flames with your mules, although a PSoK or two might become necessary if you do this. Depending on your specific non-Reboot server, Eternal Rebirth Flames sell for 45-60mil each, so this item alone provides you with 1.125bil-1.5bil value, which is an amount not to be scoffed at. I can't even begin to price the value of the Black Rebirth Flames.

    PHASE 3 COIN BREAKDOWN

You don't actually have to save up for the Mitra's Boxes before Phase 3 begins, because the boxes themselves have a fixed duration of 76 days. You can purchase them on the last day of Phase 3, on August 30th and still get all 9 uses out of them, so you have until then to save up the necessary coins to purchase all 4 boxes. If this information is incorrect, please let me know in the comments.

The total cost of all 4 boxes is 6,500. The Battlefield of Honor event which provides up to 120 coins outside the daily cap is also ending on August 25th, which means the total possible amount of coins you can acquire in Phase 3 is 11,520.

It seems Phase 3 is the time you want to focus on buying the RISE Royal Shop tickets, where you'll have 5,020 coins remaining to either dump into RISE Royal Shop tickets, various other cosmetics, or on the Salon Lucky Box, which costs 30 coins each, there is no limit to the number you can purchase, and it provides a random item from a drop table. There just isn't enough leeway in the previous phases for the tickets, unless you completely sacrifice a lot of the most meaningful items in the main RISE Coin Shop.

    Optimal RISE Fountain Mule Farming

It takes 12,000 coins to acquire all 3 donation rewards across all 3 Phases: 3000 in Phase 1, 4000 in Phase 2, and 5000 in Phase 3. If you're trying to preemptively coin cap your mules in anticipation of the fountain donations, follow this guideline:

    Condensed Mass Mule Farming

Phase 1: To ensure Phase 1 donation reward, you need to cap at least 10 mules, or just 5 mules on Sunny Sunday. Make sure you donate 300 coins per day 10 times by the end of Phase 1.

Phase 2: To ensure Phase 2 donation reward, you need to fully cap at least 13 mules, with a 14th mule having at least 100 coins, which totals out to exactly 4000 coins across all your mules for Phase 2, OR you can just farm 6 mules on Sunny Sunday, with a 7th mule having at least 400 coins, which also equals out to 4000 coins. Make sure you donate 400 coins per day 10 times by the end of Phase 2.

Phase 3: To ensure Phase 3 donation reward, you need to cap at least 16 mules, with a 17th mule having at least 200 coins, which totals out to exactly 5000 coins across all your mules for Phase 3 OR you can just farm 8 mules on Sunny Sunday, with a 9th mule having at least 200 coins, which also equals out to 5000 coins. Make sure you donate 500 coins per day 10 times by the end of Phase 3.

If you really want to get ahead, you can cap coins on 15 mules across the 4 Sunny Sundays in Phase 1, and you will have enough RISE coins across all 15 characters to donate to both the Phase 2 and Phase 3 fountain completely. You don't have to farm all 15 mules on a single Sunny Sunday, you can spread them out across 4 Sundays in Phase 1, which allows you to farm 4 mules for 3 Sundays and 3 of those same 4 mules for 1 additional Sunday instead for a total of 9,000 RISE coins on 4 characters, exactly enough for Phase 2 and 3 RISE Fountains. Just keep in mind this is ONLY if you want to get ahead and if you're limited on time otherwise, or you just want to get the mule farming over with for the rest of the event and want to condense your farming to a few days.

Single Mule Farming For The Entire Event

It is quite possible to only have to farm on a single mule dedicated to donating to the Fountain, with lots of time left over in each phase. These timelines take into account Sunny Sundays:

Phase 1: you need to farm a minimum of 9 days on a single mule to get enough coins, and donate for at least 10 days throughout the phase, with more than enough time left over.

Phase 2: you need to farm at least 13 days on a single mule to get enough coins, then donate for 14 days throughout the phase, with 2 weeks left over in the phase if you donate consecutively.

Phase 3: you need to farm at least 15 days on a single mule to get enough coins, and donate for at least 17 days throughout the phase, with less than 2 weeks left over if you donate consecutively.

Overall, you have more than enough time each phase to get all the Fountain rewards, donating just 300 coins per day on a single mule. Even less time required if you meet the daily donation cap (10 days to get the Fountain reward each phase doing this).

    Conclusion

Fuck Nexon, give DMT, Philo Book big scam, and stop ruining classes. I can finally sleep now this guide is done.

    How is your Tera-burn going?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 01:04 AM PDT

Chosen to Tera-burn a character and found their playstyle to be overall unsatisfying?

If so, let me know the class and reason you find it you're not enjoying it.

I Tera-burned a mechanic because I think resistance classes are pretty cool and thought it would be fun... it isn't. Class feels clunky to move around with and overall damage seems to be on the low-side. I spend half my time trying to run around the map placing down robots at 'strategic' points to benefit me but honestly aside from the healing-bot, everything else seems pretty lack luster.

I am glad that I chose this class to Tera-burn as it would hurt my soul to try to level this class normally.

Some calculations on Philospher's Book rates

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 11:23 AM PDT

Hello I spent 3 hours making this. I highly recommend anyone who is considering buying/buying more Philosopher's Books to at least read the first and last page.

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PVU2sMyV10t3oYzS8GWHs0qdZ6_UsRbTVDE952bcgic/edit?usp=sharing

Most important part: "Using the chance to get a BOD calculation from section D, with $434 worth of books (176 books) we have a:

0.82% chance to break even or profit

3.46% chance to get a BOD

    95.72% chance to get 'NOTHING'"

I need help finding Pure Gold Engine parts for Mechanic

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 11:26 PM PDT

I'm at my wit's end here. I've been hunting these things non-stop for the past few days with 2x drop through a lot of it and I've had zero luck. How rare are these damn things? I'm beginning to wonder if the websites I'm looking at are wrong and I'm wasting my time. Has anyone else hunted these things and had any luck? If so, where, and how long did it take? I'm a Reboot player, if that has anything to do with it.

I'm using this as my guide, and so far I've spent most of my time at the Nest Golems looking for the engine recipe and the Memory Monk Trainees looking for the long arm recipe. I've also spent some time at the Red Dragon Turtles trying to skip the recipe and just get the engine itself, and also had no luck.

    Legion noob question

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 11:15 PM PDT

Hi guys, returning player here! This may be a dumb question lol but I just did the quest to access maple legion and when I try to place a character block on the grid it doesn't let me? Is there a specific way you're supposed to place the place the block such as drag and drop or? For reference I play Maple on a MacBook Pro laptop with the Haptic Touch trackpad which I feel like is what's not letting me drop the block on the grid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Class for bigger maps / mobbing

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 07:56 PM PDT

So after the BT changes I decided it was time to throw in the towel and abandon my 23x bt.

I posted a question a few days ago and only got a few responses from shades.

I already have a meso/droplets farming kanna and I don't like the class where I'd want to main it. Personally don't like his teleport much and his bossing feels gross. Though I do enjoy the mobbing it's fun.

I was thinking ark so I'm burning 1 and he's up to 120 but man either I don't know how to play him or flora succ.

So what class would you guys recommend I just want to be able to mob well even on big maps preferably using mobility and not summons.

    Thanks~

Upon accepting 3rd Job Advancement quest and teleporting to Excavation Site, it will not initiate the cut-scene action, which means we do not get to see the NPC Shuang in Excavation Site. Since we have not access to her, Illiums will not be able to advance to 3rd job. it's been over a week since i first tried, it's still broken
